Default what do you think of the 09 corolla??

its not for me and no i will not be trading the tC in for the new corolla haha.

but my gf is lookin for a new car so we went by a toyota dealer after hours yesterday so she can look at the cars in piece (she gets angry at sales people fast for some reason lol) and we where walkin through the lot and this dealer had about 10 09 corollas and a Magnetic Grey Corolla S that she fell in love with (best part was it was a 5 speed!! and she liked that to!! :D ) so shes thinkin about getting one of those now which would be awesome because her 2000 sunfire is getting ready to ____t the bed me thinks

not bad for a corolla either, it has a lot of new standard equipment and the new 09s are really agressive for a corolla! and she likes how "mean" they look haha, shes so cute, anyways i think shes goin by again tonight, she either wants teh magnetic grey or BSP.

anyways what do you guys/gals think of them?

Overall I like the new corolla...Nice styleing, a well deserved boost in power.... The only thing I don't like are the price tags. Toyota seems to be getting pretty greedy. I was lookin to get into the XRS, but after pricing one on toyota's website at over $21k....yea, I'll pass on it. I like the car, but for that money I can get a hellova lot more somewhere else.

The 2.4 liter is bloated pig with no power. Otherwise the XRS is a cosmetically appealing car, but strictly ricer when saddled with that engine (all show no go).

The XRS corolla looks nice but its overpriced. Good choice with the lancer. They look mean with that "sharknose" front end.

The price jump is big on the new 'Rolla, but this is a huge numbers car for Toyota and usually offers tons of rebates and incentives. Nobody pays MSRP on a Corolla.

I like the fact that you can get pretty much every option and still keep the 1.8 engine too, unlike its hatchback brother. I was ____ed when I found out that only the "base model" Matrix now offers the 1.8. Every other trim comes saddled with the same old 2.4 I'd rather avoid.

All in all, if you wait a few months you'll be able to get a nicely equipped 1.8 Corolla for around $18k. I'd rock that over an xD any day.

If you want the 2.4 engine, the tC and xB still beat the new XRS 'Rolla and Matrix in overall value.

the corolla was too small for her, shes used to a car with longer doors like her older (2000) sunfire, and she likes the lancer over all. plus its more powerful then the corolla and we think it has better looks too.

i think the new Lancers looked okay. I'm actually still debating whether I still want a tC in the summer, the Lancer GTS, or 08 Accord Coupe

But at least she picked someone you both like, haha.

dude, if the Lancer GTS was out when i baught my tC it would have been a no brainer for me

the GTS is an overall sweet car. looks/performance (kinda)/styleing/comfort have you felt the seats on the GTS??? extremely nice! 10x better then the tC, the interior is solid, aggressive exterior design. if i didnt owe so much on my tC and have so many miles on it, i would trade it in in a heart beat.
