What Toyota Japan Designers told me in Elmhurst!!
When the Design Team came around to get info for the new xA from xA owners they let a few secrets out on the table!
1. the xB will be discontinued in 2007
2. the xA will have 2nd Gen in 2007
3. the "Porte" will be the replacement for the xB
So i don't know if they are going to release the "Porte" now under the dL badge or if Scion has something completely new!

I also like the porte but I think the DL will be somenthing else.....I guess we will just have to wait and see...plus if the porte is going to replace the XB would it not be too early for them to even starti talking about the DL as the Xb's replacement...I dont know...

I think I actually like the xB styling over the Porte. THe Porte looks like an xB trying too hard. Takes away the funkiness factor and leaves just plain ugly. Plus it looks smaller, and the xB roominess is it's main draw.
What engine is in the Porte? IF they could give us 130HP for not much more $$, maybe I'd feel bettter about the styling tradeoff.

:Dbut toyota jp sells the Bb and the Porte 2005 models right now in the car class 2box!
besides I use the word replacement loosly. There will never be a 2nd gen xB!
So love the one you have right now! Scion is just going to make new models not 2nd gens. At least thats the theory. mabey that 2nd gen xA meet i went to was just a cover to find out what model small hatch they will bring out next and there will be no 2nd gens period!
