Default Whyh there won't be a dL

And it's the same reason why the tC isn't the xC. Can you say... volvo?

dL, however, is an excellent code name or project name for the secret development phase of a fourth scion (get it? on the DL? ha!). But i'm willing to bet it's not going to be dL. I got my money on tD.

I don't think this applies. The DL in '240 DL' denotes a trim level. Not a model name. The same reason Honda, Kia and others can all use EX or DX. :?

tD = Touchdown

that would be the Supercharged tD... if it was a tD and i had it with a supercharger... you'd better believe i would stick an "S" in front :-p

if they go like the tC then itll probably be a tS for touring sedan... provided it actually is a sedan.

You make a good point...

I do remember reading in an article about why the tC was not called the xC...

that does make sense...

The DL is only a package label.

I doubt that's going to prevent Scion from using it as their next car.

TD = turbodiesel

I want a turbodiesel xB.

Seriously.

My TDI Jetta got 50 mpg, drop that engine in an xB (600 lbs lighter!) and it would not only fly, it would probably get 60+ mpg.

Hybrids can suck my left nut. Turbodiesel > all.
