Feather the clutch instead of dumping it.

Launch @ 2500, feather the clutch, and shift at 6100 to 6250. Try not to get wheel hop or bog out. Better than stock tires are a must! I can get out at california speedway @ about a .019 RT, a 60' 2.25, and 1/4 @ 15.29 .

you guys have such an advantage at sea level. up here in colorado at 6000 feet my best was .155 rt, 2.397 60` and 1/4 @ 16.757.

that was a totally stock run with spare and all in the car and the lowest grade gas with the only mod being an unbolted exhaust from the axle back.

there was another tc with full greddy catback and intake, its fastest was 16.68 i think.

So When I went to Irwindale, on one of my runs when I launched I let it bounce of the Revlimiter for a second or so then shifted. My question is, Is that a bad thing to do?

I can't say much for anything but the R/Ts... I've been having issues getting into the 15's with my stock tC.

However, for R/T, I leave on the 3rd yellow. As soon as I see it, I'm gone.

Last night, my lowest R/T was .195. My best two were .007 and .002. Haven't redlighted yet (though I've only had about in about 16-18 passes...)

It shouldn't hurt it at all.. I bounce off the rev limiter when I do burnouts every once and awhile.

However, it will slow you down alot.

I mean boucing off the rev limiter in that when i launch the tach shoots to the redline, tires getting no traction, and instead of shifting and bogging going to second...i just kinda hold on untill i feel i have gained enough momentum <sp> that i wont bog going into the next gear. I was wondering if that was a bad thing.

I just didnt want to get off the gas and lose my momentum...

Actually, now that I think about it, I think I have seen/talked to you before at Irwindale. It would have been very briefly, and it was before i got my tC. About 5 months ago maybe. Atleast I think that might have been you I remember you talking abou you were going to go turbo sometime in the future.

People don't come over to the AutoSports & Technique section very often, so I would be suprised to see an answer. LoL Though I would like to know what tire it would be???
