I am in need of some help when it comes to brake pads.

There is not much out there for the tC other than custom cut orders. Porterfield, Cobalt, and Hawk do not have much.

What are you guys running for the front and rear pads?

The most aggressive that I found so far is the HT-10 for the front only. Is there anything else that I am forgetting?

Thanks!

The Koni Challenge tC is running CarboTech pads (XP10 and XP. Not sure if those have been considered or not yet...

Hey, you gotta pay to play...

Maybe you'll get a couple more ideas though.

What kind of duty are you looking for? Full-blown racecar, and only using these on the track? Dual-purpose street and the occasional track weekend? Autocross?

I'm running Axxis Ultimates, f&r, haven't had a problem with them, autocross, (many laps of test & tune, etc)

track only. I am looking for something that will eject me out of the drivers seat, through the wind shield, and out on the asphalt when I fart on the brake pedal

Sounds kinda serious...

Looked into EBC Yellowstuff? I know that's pretty much a track compound, but I haven't had any experience with them.

jajaja, how much does your car weight???? mine is on 2500lbs without driver and these Axxis ultimate work great for me.

The only downside, WHICH I DONT CARE because its not a daily driver, but at low speeds, they sound like you were killing a mouse, jeje.

But temperature range is great, they STOP you, but again, it all depends on the weight of the car I'm not sure if they would be the same on a stock weighted tc.

I have my car down to a solid 2850w/o driver. Where did you find that extra 300 lbs?

doh! I guess I have to try the yellows next time around.

I just ordered up some Carbotech XP8™ & Carbotech™ XP10™

The sales guy told me that this will NOT throw me out the wind shield, but it WILL leave the scion emblem from the steering wheel imprinted on my stomach.

good times!

I had great results running Hawk HPS + up front with ATE DOT4 fluid the rest of the brake system is stock.

I got several 20-30 minute sessions at Putnam Park. Never had any fade, drove home on the same pads and still using them after a month or so later. They are more dusty than stock and they have more noise than stock, but the braking potential is more than worth it.
