assuming you're driving smart at a LEGAL competition...

it depends on the surface, your tires & your feet what rpm you launch at.

you want to keep the tire spin to a minimum with a smart clutch foot & a smart gas foot.
Just because you're on asphalt, don't think all asphalt is the same.

figure out how quickly to let the clutch up & how much gas to give it.

once tou've figured that out & haven't broken anything, shift just before redline. If you wait until you hit the rev limiter, you'lll lose power, as the computer is cutting your engine.

best way to learn to drive better & not risk wrecking your car (as I'm learning) Autocross. The season's starting in a month or so for us snow-belters...

x2. It took me a few weeks going up to Bandimere Speedway to get a good launch down. I would either get too much wheel spin or bog the car down. The surface at bandimere extra rubbery, so the launch really depends on the surface you are racing on.

^And shifting before the rev limiter is good advice. A couple times I've shifted too late and its kills the 1/4 mile time...

15.6 is pretty good! Too bad you can't go that fast with a stock tC at this altitude...
