he wasn't even trying, that's the sad part.

too bad my $3,000 sportsbike is still faster 0-60 and 0-100.

"Fast" cars is such a joke, nothing under a hundred grand you can buy off a lot is faster than my bike that cost less than most people's turbo systems. Did I mention my bike isn't even considered a very "fast" bike? It's only an older 600cc 90hp, the newer 600cc bikes put out over 120hp

--my "slow" 600cc sports bike... 90hp/45tq - 10.8@126mph - $3,000 (used)
--fastest buyable streetbike - 1399cc ZX-14R - 180hp/115tq - 9.46@146mph - $11,500 (new)
--monstrous twin-turbo 7,000cc car costing over $150,000 - 9.5@145mph

instead of hoping to buy a car like that, take that $150,000 and buy a house, buy a commuter car, and buy the fastest bike you can buy instead.

Seen that vid before, that vette is sweet..
Bikes are so over rated!
You are comparing a 3000lb+ vehicle to a bike.....Come on now.

speed is speed my friend, it's not my fault that car weighs a ton and a half and costs as much as a decent house.

I'd say you could even feel like you had a bigger ****** for buying the corvette, but a man who rides and a man who drives are different kinds of men.

If you want to start comparing CARS, you can buy a $20,000 toyota supra and give it to a performance shop with your credit card and walk out with a 1,000+HP supra that would make that vette seem slow for 1/3rd the cost.

Street racing is ____. I hope every one of them wraps around a telephone pole.

I don't care because I use my cell phone.

Better you put lives in danger, because you want to demonstrate how big your dick is on a public roadway..

Grow up, seriously.

you can't compare fast bikes and fast cars. they are completely different catagories of vehicles requiring different talents and handling characteristics.

also, how likely are you to survive in a crash on a bike compared to a car? can you drive with a passenger and some luggage on a bike to a weekend getaway? maybe you like listening to music while you roll. maybe you hate arriving with helmut hair all the time. or that you have to wear that full body jump suit wherever you go?

sport bikes are fast because they are pretty much a single purpose, going fast. they also don't have alot of dead weight like crash bars, crumple zones, airbags etc you know those things that save your life when $h!^ hits the fan.

i like going fast, and while i could get a sport bike and go infinitely faster than my tc could even imagine, i seldom go places where i don't need the utility that my car offers me, either protection from the elements, or trunk space, passenger capacity. so for people like me and many other speed enthusiasts, we make our one vehicle our fast and useful.

Then my apologies. It helps to quote what you're responding.

It's sad that people can't even watch a video without getting their panties in a bunch.

Otocan-

I haved loved Corvettes since I was really young. You can have your bikes; they just don't do it for me. If that makes me less of a man, so be it. Corvettes are my passion just like bikes are yours.

Lock this POS up.

Sorry, I have a huge problem with people taking these races to public roadways. There is a place for these things, it's called the track.

Roads are not for this bull____.

At what point did I say that I support street racing? Never.

I simply posted that video because I thought the reaction of the Talon boys was funny. If I had known that everyone was going to get so bent out of shape, then I would not have posted the video.

Again, please lock this freak show!

I didn't mean to jump on you in particular. It's the whole mentality in general, the majority of posts in this forum, etc..

Granted, nobody is blatantly saying "wow I love street racing" however, the simple act of sharing these boneheaded videos only serves to condone the behavior, or even worse for some of our members to make videos of their own.

I'm just really sick of seeing these unnecessary accidents and deaths over stupid horse____. Roads are not playgrounds, and innocent people end up paying the price most of the time.

Still, if somebody decides to use the road when you least expect it, you then have a cluster____.

What you say makes sense, but it's still not warranted on public roads, at any time of day/night.
