OK so I went to my first autox, and it was awesome. I placed 14 out of 20 in novice, being above some way more serious cars. I was in ST, my only significant mod being a trd rear sway bar (I am still on the stock tires). It was alot of fun, and I took some pics and video, which I will post if I can figure out how.

My question was, can I take out the back seats without changing my class? I know I can take out the spare tire, and I looked in the rule book but it doesn't seem say anything about that in the ST part. Also, would subtracting that weight even really help, since the back end would just be even lighter compared to the front? Also, would a light-weight pulley move me out of ST?

 

No, weight reduction will bump you up a class. Besides, the rear seats + belts weigh only ~85lbs, so it would barely be any gain.
