if NA tC drag racing against a 350Z, no chance. There are only a handful of V6 cars that the tC can win against.... Nissan's flagship sports coupe is not 1 of them

I raced a 350z once, won, and was real excited. Then I realized that the guy in the 350z was not actually racing me, he turned right at the light.

stock tC will lose against a 350z. you will need F/I system or good rebuilt motor for performance to win.

I've beaten 350 "zed"s before... in my Pagani Zonda

On the weekends I like to drive my F430, though. It's all whatever I feel like doing.

A tC with any of the intercooled (stage 1) turbo kits available should be able to beat a high 13 second car. But it's going to be alot harder to launch on street tires. I think it would still be real close.

This reminds me of a time a friend of mine was.. "challeneged" on the freeway by a stock looking TC with an exhaust..
My buddy's 350Z runs a 12.2 with stage 3 nismo cams and yada yada.. needless to say he didn't even race..

0-60 and 1/4 mile times for Factory Stock
2003 Nissan 350z 5.4 14.1
2004 Nissan 350z Roadster 5.7 14.3
2004 Nissan 350Z 5.3 13.77 (M.T. Mar '04)
2005 Nissan 350Z 35th Anniversary Edition 6 Speed 5.8 14.3 (C&D Apr '05)

these are the track times for a stock 350z. you will need some powerful mods to match the 350z track time. a twin turbo 350z got low 12,s in the 1/4 and another 350z got high 11s with a single turbo.

here the link to the info.

350z low 12s in a 1/4 mile

How ironic is it that I own both of these cars.....

Thanks for showing the love to the Z guys. Makes me know I get some love in it. But on another note. It will take a turbo (NOT S/C, unless extremely modified) kit equivalent to a ZPI Stage 1 to take out a Stock 350Z. Seeing as how I drive both of these cars daily, you can take my word for it. Also seeing as how I've raced my Z vs. my girls Stage 1 tC, and have a video for you, you can now come to the conclusion after watching it....

Enjoy

PS...I would have thought everyone on SL has seen this vid before. It's pretty old. Guess not..

Never had the chance to mess with a 350Z. A G35 yes, on the freeway from a 60mph roll. He got about a car jump, and by 120 I had about 2 cars on him. That was also on the stock 7psi pulley.
