how do you guys launch?
2300-2500, let the clutch out sorta slowly while giving more gas. just keep the RPM's at or above your neutral rpm (the rpm you held them at before you started to let off the clutch) as you let off the clutch.
with my stiffy i'm launching at 3k w/ no spin or wheelhop at alll.

I launch between 2000-2500rpms. Most times I try to feather the clutch but sometimes I get excited and dump it. It also depends on the set up of your car. If you have the stiffy and good aftermarket tires with your psi lowered you should be able to get away with 3krpms and dumping the clutch if the track is good. That's another thing, you may have to change the way you launch if the track conditions are bad. That's why you try to get in at least three runs. I have stock tires and no stiffy and I keep my psi the same and don't do a burnout and I try not to drive thru the water. I also like to start to take off when I see the thrid yellow light because by time you and the car reacts the light is green and you end up with a faster reaction time. Once my turbo goes in it will be a totally different story and I'll have to relearn how to launch.
I started this thread, you should look there also.
