hi guys, has anyone here with a sc tc with mods raced a stock s2k? or what would the outcome be? thanks

 

unless he messes up, you will loose. But you will impress and surprise him. I know i raced an S2k, one of the only times i have raced someone, and he barely beat me. He was surprised i kept up.

 

i thought i would have a chance cause i mean 250whp is alot even with say about 125lbs more weight added and were most likely going to do this on a highway real late with no cars i should have a chance.... but thanks for your exp..

 

all that power means nothing if you cant get it to the ground effectively. Remember that the s2k is built for perfomance, the tc isnt. What mods do you have to get 249whp, and i hope you're not doint 10.19 with 249whp. Invest in suspension, better tires and maybe an lsd and you'll be able to take a stock s2k.

 

i ran a 1/8th back when i 1st install the sc and 1st time on track.. never changed since then, the mods i have is mmw header draxas mid-pipe back greddy eman.. ult. nst 9.5psi intake water meth and bosch 110 bpv and trd short shifter

 

s2ks are not drag cars
doesn't take much to close the gap on them

but of course, the tC needs to be f/i in normal standards
i could see a modded s/c tC taking one, but not a stock s/c tC

 

my friend has an s2k i drove it not so impressed with the torque vs my car but yea its i dont know , loud and just not as i thought it would be, i think i like driving the rsx-s better than that car but if i was to race him he would beat me until i get my 9.5 psi pulley but barely maybe by half a car or so

 

thats a good set of mods, just hit up the suspension and tires and you shouldnt have a problem with an s2k.

 

What year s2k?

 

i think its from 02-04 dont remember i mean with all this mods i should be able to take him on the highway.. i do get there car cuts wind better then us i mean my car isnt all that stock and wasnt there a zpi stage 0 took a stock s2k and the tc was an auto?

 

Well here are the official times for the S2000. If you check the boards, most people are running high 14's with the S/C tC.
I have a modded S/C and I ran a best of 14.78
So if its a 2003, you will be close. Anything else is over a half second faster than us.

cool, alright im gonna see when i get a chance and see wat i run in a 1/4mile and im still waitin for my buddy to get his supra tt runnin.. and i mean the kid with s2k is one of buddies too just wanna have some fun.. well see if he wants to run or not and also the 1st gen s2k has weak diffs.. hehe.. just want to point that out..

 

You ran a 10.1 with a stock S/C'er...interesting, cause my boy ran a 10.1 with I/H/full exhaust/clutch/flywheel.

 

The Stage 0 can take out an S2k, but it was a Manual Stage 0, not automatic. Then again, the Stage 0 is slightly faster than a modded S/C'ed tC.

 

haha, 10.1 1was the 1st time i went down on a track with sc and draxas spipe back.. the react... time was .500s and also the 60ft is around 2.6

 

Eeewwww...2.6. Nasty time.

However, is that your best time with a stock S/C'er? Would think you would post your BEST time. Last time I checked, I broke into high 9's in the 1/8th mile with just a full exhaust system and removed rear seats.

 

if i could still find the time slips that i went down on last year scion vip last year, this year i went to scion vip i wasnt trying to get the best 1/8th mile cause krds and munch was there.. i was trying to get best react.. time lolz... but if i could find them np here.. if not ill have new slips this end of the month for scion vip camp out... i will still be use stock tires.. yea i know 2.6 was bad im not the best at launchin but its a start.. .. i raced a scion tc man. it almost had me. too.. i was suprise and asked the kid was he had he had nothing... i was like uhh.... lolz... all fun and games here

 

yea i know what you mean. the first time i went to the track my best was 10.3x with a 2.6 60 ft. time, you will need to go to the track more than once to get the hang of it.
