try to have someone record you from outside the car. I would love to see how the xb handles. I'm trying to get my wife into autoxing her xb too.

I do indeed have one. Its not the best video because my zoom on my camera doesnt go very far.

This was a run from early summer I think and my time was 74.141 sec. At this time I didnt have my rear sway bar or my rear camber. But I think I had the polyurithane bushings and end links on the front bar.

That Vid got me all hyped about autoxing in my wifes xb. There is supposed to be an Autox here in Charleston in December. I really want to enter the event. Plus we just got some new Nitto's put on so the car should handle pretty nice.

If the xB isnt lowered they may not allow it to race. If it is like an SCCA sanctioned event that is. They say the xBs are too unstable when stock and I can totally agree. But what ever happens it is a very fun time and well worth it. Just remember to turn off the traction control. There have been a couple times I have forgotten to do that.

The xb is lowered. I did read about that rule on the SCCA web site. How much of a difference is there with the Trac-control off?

The traction control will just slow you down because it will continuisly kick in and give you an ABS event. You want the wheels to break free but not too much obviously. Just need to control it with the throttle. Once your out there youl get a feel for it.

My mount was the little tripod that came with the camera and I took one of the legs and put it into the headrest hole on the passenger seat then ziptied and ducktaped it all in place. It was the best I could come up with in a short time.

You should try the sticky pod camera mount. You can check it out at stickypod.com. I have the original one and it works like a charm, a little expensive though. Its a great product and it will stick to any window, door panel or hood.

I made a camera mount out of a time-trial 'bullhorn' bicycle handlebar & an old tripod head. It was super easy. I should have taken pics of it, but it's taken apart now. You'll have to take my word for it..
worked great.
-until I fried my camera using the wrong cable on my TV...

My camera mount. Simple. And those are all linked thumbnails to the full sizes. I took the center post out of cheap tripod and drilled some holes around the sides of the headrest post, stuck some U-bolts thru the holes, and some lock nuts on the U-bolts. Don't overtighted or u will not be able to the headrest back in...I also use an adjustable shoulder strap from a big duffle bag as my safety strap. I just clip the clips to the U-bolts.
