So i went to PIR last night and took my TC for a ride down the track. I have Cold air intake, TRD axel back, and megan racing header. I got my car down to 15.54 at 88.8mph. There was another TC that was 100% stock and he ran 16.04 at 79mph. it was a fun night lots of cars but we need more scions out there. Im going down again tonight, track opens at 6pm closes at 12. if anyone wants to meet up let me know pm me or call me at 5419804312.

Eventually we will show up for a run or two, when we get the turbo done and tuned correctly but will be on street tires, not drag slicks and just to get an idea of where the car is in that department.

I've recently started to want to do something like this... Taking the tC to PIR would be fun and all, but like you said... autocrossing takes skill.

Thanks for the info, hope to be out there someday... have some mods coming here in the next few months and a possible FI setup!

 

Just so you know, you do not need FI to be quick, the tC has a great second gear and really decent NA torque to get out of corners with even completely stock!!

Once we get our car setup a bit more and get to more events we will work on some meets at them, I held a few while still stationed in San Diego in the Navy and eventually somebody else took over when I became to busy to organize them but we had a great time. BBQ, cars running in several classes, a few took it with earnest and still go alot, one is now an officer in the club

Down there we used to get in alot of fun runs and I loved taking people for rides in my very quick Matrix, We had some very fast courses and long autocrosses, hitting 90+ MPH is not something you get to do in a parking lot often, certainly not here, to small

But, it is a treat deal of fun and the people that do this are almost always totally cool to hang out with and very helpful and when it comes to teaching, etc.

Honey0Bucket and I were at PIR last weekend and watch an RS1 with Supercharger and TRD exhaust hit 14.9, we didn't run, as I'm not going to run with 19's and need to tune a bit more before running everything on the track... Give me a while and I'll make a few... Just need my wideband and Heads up Display all set up first.

 

Of course FI is not necessary, It's just something I want to do (Future goal)... I mean if I can find a really go N/A route to go with that is something I would to pursue as well, right now FI sounds so good!

I need to get Friday Night's off so I can head out to PIR and check out some of the drags... also get time to do other fun stuff as well!
