Default My Scion xD vs. New generation Si and last gen Si

Just like to say first and foremost, this was not on the street, it was on the strip. I conclude that the Scion xD is probably one of the most underated cars this year as far as hp and acceleration. My xD is completely stock other than lowering springs.
I dont have a scanner so i can't scan my slips, but I will tell u that the xD is a high 15 second car if u show up with a low gas load and u can drive. I will be posting videos in the next couple of days (in car shots).
At the dragstrip there must have been a Civic Si club or meet because there was over a dozen of them there. I ended up racing 2 and beat them both, one was the last generation sI (170 hp) and the other one was the new one (195hp) I dont know what mods they had but im guessing minor if any. Odviously the new gen Si wasnt the perfect driver because it should have beat me but I can tell u he launched fine and didnt miss any gears( u will see the video) . And to tell u the truth, last summer i took a completly stock tC from the dealership and ran slower than I did in the xD... I'm not a perfect driver but I consider myself pretty good.

You can't dump the clutch in a tC, so if you ran slower in the tC, you must not have modulated the throttle good enough off the line. It's a bit rough to put down the tQ the tC makes with only one wheel spinning.

High 15's in the xD though, I would not have expected. Good runs man. Waiting on the vids and slips.

It was driver error then. your not beating me. I run consistant 14.8 in my stock si. Not eveyone can drive, lol. You beat the driver, not the car, IMHO.

Waiting for video and slips.

It just shows how a good driver can outrun a bad driver even if he is in a faster car.

motor number 3? really? do you only use stock xa engines, have you considered having one built to take the punishment since you now have a three-peat on your hands?

So how does the xD handle (corners/breaking) in comparison to an xA/xB with the same set-up would you guess? I have heard the xD feels sluggish and heavier but then again you seem to have an actual handle on this instead of a half hearted guess.

by the math.. the xD will always be trumped by the xA.. ;)

in the short run, yeah, definetly, but in the long run...i mean how many stock engines do you have to go through before it becomes more cost effective to just build an engine?

you can pull the stock engine in under 2 hours.. not a big deal..

plus there are no viable high performance 1nz engine parts..
