Default on my way to school...(civic si story)

ok so i woke up late and my class was due to start in about 1/2 hour. it takes about an hour to get to the campus i was supposed to get to. so i get ready in a rush and haul ___ to school. on the intersate im weaving in and out of traffic. not trying to race anyone at all, doing maybe 85-90. so im looking in my rear view for police and i see this itty bitty blue car weaving behind me. i realize its a HONDA CIVIC Si... the hatchback model of course. so i decide to gun it. LOL WOW!! did i leave him in the dust. i must have pulled ahead of him about half a city block or more within a few seconds. boy those things are slow.. anyone have any encounters with them?

^^^ makes more sense.
the previous gen Si basically sucked. i'm no honda enthusiast, but reading the SCC review of it and from the general lack of interest in it by the aftermarket, it was honestly one of honda's failures in the history of the civic Si lineup.
anyway, cool that you killed it.

Don't know, I don't pay to much attention to Honda.

You were in traffic right? is it possible you had a better line? Saying you beat a guy by a block racing in traffic doesnt say anything about a car being faster. I could race an 18 wheeler and lose by a block if I get stuck behind grandma in her 82 pinto.

But reguardless, why would you race in admittedly think traffic.

An EP3 Si is basically equal to a scion tC.

I prove this over, and over, and over again. People hate to hear the word "equal" for some reason.

Technically, they're more "mod-able" than a tC due to hondata and a2 headswaps.

They're not that slow, you for damn sure wouldnt pull a city block on him in even a minute of racing. I smoked one from a roll..haha... but im s/c. But like Sensaiturtle said, stock for stock they are basically the same.

nah we were both on the same lane, the right lane was pretty clear. he came up on my tail after he was weaving his way thru, thats when i decided to gun it. must have been going 70 maybe at the time?? maybe 1/2 a city block was too much.. forgot "objects are closer than they appear"

let me get this straight...so, he was behind you in your lane when you decided to gun it? and you were going maybe 70mph at the time on a city street, and you let off at around 90 mph on a city street?

WAY TO GO CHAMP!!!

my bad ^. regardless, weaving in and out of traffic going 85-90 mph isn't something to be boasting about.
