SCCA Stock Class Wheels

I'm looking into a spare set of wheels to use for weekend autocross and maybe some backroad fun. Correct me if I am wrong, but to stay in HS, or any of the stock classes, the wheel diam. and width need to stay the same as stock.
My only question is, does it matter if I decrease the offset of my autocross wheels? I wouldn't think so, but I am just making sure before I drop some money on rims.
Thanks,
Eric
PS- I am going to be competing in SCCA and other events with rules based off the SCCA rulebook.

It can get a little tricky with the tC since it came with an 17X7 and had an option for a 18X7.5 from the factory. Both would be considered HS legal.
I've looked at the +/- of both and came to the conclusion that the 17X7 fitted with a 245/45 17 Kumho v710 is the best combination of grip and weight. The 18" would allow for a slightly wider tire but with potential rubbing and added wheel and tire weight.
When it comes to offset this is what the SCCA rule book says:
13.4 WHEELS
Any type wheel may be used provided it complies with the
following: it is the same width and diameter as standard, and as
installed (including wheel spacers if applicable) it does not have an
offset more than +/- 0.25 inch from a standard wheel for the car.
The resultant change in track dimensions is allowed.
Wheel spacers are permitted, provided the resultant combination
complies with the offset requirements of this section. Wheel studs,
lug nuts, and/or bolt length may be changed.
Hope that helps. If you want to know how far the rules can be pushed on a tC just PM me.
