you are talking about the boosted saleen though (not saying any stang cant beat a tc with equal drivers) becosue other then the boosted saleen the others are crap just like most mustangs - the svo and gt500/350 and some others i might have left out
if you read my other post about lane decisions and everything in street racing, makes the world of a difference

and no it was a true saleen i know the person who drives it they live about all of 30 seconds from my house lol

i do have am parts in my tc, im putting out about 200-210 hp right now ...working on more ____

but for the time being time to do my custom led underbody kit its going to consist of about 2000 leds

The guy is just askin for it.. I say you give it to em. RAW!

P.S. Please do it safely, preferably on a track, AND if you absolutly have to. Make sure you can get a section of the road blocked off somewhere in a non populated area.
the auto tC dynos at 122 WHP and 135lbs of torque
If you're saying the civic dynos at around 120whp, its going to be a good race

However, the tC will beat the Civic, due to MUCH better gearing and gobs more of torque.

Gotta be careful if you are racing from a roll, those civics are light and have about the same amount of HP.

No offense bluenjsciontc but if you have intake, headers, and spipe theres no chance on earth you are putting out 200-210 horsepower. I had those before I got my s/c and there's no way you're even close to stock s/c numbers which is about 210 at the crank. And if you're claiming 200-210 at the wheels that's an even bigger joke.

I didn't realize just how much bs you were putting out until I read that you are schooling the new si's with your n/a tc with intake, header, and exhaust. Go check out the thread the si owner put out about his races with a s/c'd tc.

IF auto tCs are putting 122 whp @ the dynos there is something wrong with your car or your dyno. Manual tCs are anywhere from 135 - 142 whp or so.

the si wont be to huge a challange im looking for a local with one to come to the track with me so i can see how well we can hang with it

i think alot of the issue is ppl dont know how to launch there cars so they get crapy times at the track or horrible launches on the street

I don't think that si's are some monster car but they get much better launches than us with their lsd which we desperately need and they do have 40 hp on us in a car that weighs almost the same. Now you have enough upgrades that you should be able to hang with one. I hope you can find one that'll run you. I'm waiting for someone to get one here where I live so I can run one. I'm just going to hate upsetting them when they realize they can't run with anything they want.

Racing is bad but when a lil kid tries to show off in his new car i have to do something.

some little high schooler with a brand new SI tried to take off on me but he couldn't even shift gears or something.

right manual tCs are putting down 140whp, and the autos are putting down 122whp

this isnt a topic thats open for discussion, its the hard facts.

there are dynos all over the place in the natural aspiration and forced induction sections of the site. please read them before you try telling me that something is wrong with my car.

i have seen both thoughs numbers verry by 10 whp on diffrant dynos
so i can see where he might try and argue it but fact is the autos dyno less then the manuals

If you did have that amount of hp with those parts (which you dont) you would still lose to an si or the mustang if they knew how to drive. A 1999 v8 mustang runs 14 sec 1/4 mile times... unless you were racing a v6 with a saleen paint job or shaved 1.5 sec off the tC 1/4 mile time with minimum improvement bolt ons there is no way unless it was just horribel driving.

I agree, the new si is not the beast on the road, but still takes us stock (or with mild bolt ons)

^^^
Put it in the Holster Tex.

I said there could be 2 things wrong.
1. your car
2. your dyno

Auto transmissions do have more of a drive train loss. but usually are 2-5%. 5 being extreme. You are looking at 10 WHP. thats like 8%.

I am just sayin your car has to have more than 122 whp.

Just tell the kid with the EX that his car is ugly and he'll shut up. I'm sorry but I hate the front end on the new civics. It looks wierd to me. But, to each their own.

You're right aaron it's a pain to launch with the setup I've got on now, actually you can't even call it launching lol, you just have to feather it off the line which means whoever you're up against gains on you at the start but you will more than catch up. Oh and second gear is nothing but a burnout. Quaife needs to come out with that lsd BAD

The most recent issue of speed magazine had a feature of 2006 honda civic SI vs. 2006 TRD supercharged scion tc. 0-60 times: 6.8 for civic 6.9 for tc, but 1/4 time was the same (15.1 for both cars. They still rated teh civic over the tc for other reasons, mainly price.
