i have this kid a school who always talks crap about his stock auto rsx and how it will smoke my auto tc (stock). anyone think i have a chance against him or have tips so i will? without involving over $100. P.S. this is coming from a kid who has his license for a week and "hydroplaned" his rsx into a mailbox backing out of his driveway.

what are you going to prove racing autos? that you can push the gas pedal harder than he can? save yourself the gas money and go play a video game, it is the same thing minus the chance of getting arrested for street racing.

i say either let him lose to somebody else or get caught racing somebody else and lose his license. be smarter than he is.

look, since you both have freakin autos, you will get the same results almost everytime you race. just print up some specs that say what a tc runs in the 1/4 mile versus what a rsx runs.

if stock auto tc's are faster than stock auto rsx's why do you need to show him first hand and risk never driving again or just needless beating on your car? it is pointless.

 

i didnt start this, he did. he actually thought his 0-60 was 6.8 too and any arguement i have with him results in him saying "my car can smoke yours in a race!"

tell him he is wrong and that his 0-60 time is for the type s with a spd manual, not his pos base model with an auto.

as for you, i don't know what stock tc's run, but since they have a high 15 sec 1/4 mile time, and auto tc's have a 16 sec solid 1/4 mile time, you won't get smoked, but he might win.

 

i would think the auto tc would win over a auto rsx

I tried to at least stay with an rsx type-r from a red light, I didnt even implied I want to race coz I know I would loose, when the light turned green, boom!!!! It smoked me. Mine was just stock. I dont know about the rsx.

 

rsx has over 200 hp

 

one, what is an rsx type r? two, the rsx auto, is a base model and has only 160 hp. three, the difference in torque is in the tc's favor. still don't think the tc would win because of the weight disavantage and gearing, but just wanted to point out where you guys are wrong.

um, firstly that's an RSX-S and a super'd TC, so that doesn't even hold water. Secondly, racing auto's is retarded, but I wouldn't expect anything more from a seventeen year old kid. Make sure your mommy knows you're racing her auto because when the cops arrest you for street racing she'll be notified that an offender committed a felony in their vehicle (yes, it is a felony in texas and cali)

I hope you like paying for car insurance, because I sure as hell don't like you statistically raising my premiums.

 

go race, but take it down to the strip so at least you're testing some sort of skill like a reaction time. Plus, you'll know exactly what you car does time wise and you get to see other quick cars.

oh, and you don't have to run from cops. The $20 you spend on getting in and maybe a tank of gas is a lot cheaper than hundreds of $$ of fines, points, and a higher insurance rate...
