Default tC vs RSX Type S

Ok, so who do you think would win in a flat out race...stock RSX type S or 2005 tC with, Borla Cat Back, K&N CAI, ZPI Pulley, and Ingalls Engine Torque Damper?

I'm betting on the tC, it's a little bit lighter. Is your ZPI pully only the on the crank, or is it a sc pully? Next time you pull up by a type-s romp on it man! I test drove a used rsx and chose a tc over it, one reason is because it was faster, but i didn't drive a type s.

Yeah unless your sprayin or boostin you probably dont have a chance against a type s.

yup, seen this argued on here a million times.

This is the reason why I hate when people compare the stock tc to the stype. stock rsx vs stock tc is fair match up, but tc vs stype is not even close. CAI, SS, exhuast just had some noise and a sporty feel. Don't buy them to see power on this car, buy them to for sound, looks, unless you're boosted..

Not true.

N/A'ed bolt-on tC will take out a Type S.

Stock S/C'ed tC vs a N/A'ed ALL bolt-on tC will net the same amount. Which would run 14's. Sorry Type S's don't do 13's, they do 14's. So with a good driver, you will make it a drivers race.

FAR from the "Chew up" you described.

rhythmnsmoke, how do you define ALL bolt-on? no way will a CAI, exhaust, and headers net you as much as a TRD supercharger straight out of the box. BTW, stock type-s's (not s-type, let's keep that for the jaguar forums... sorry i'm picky i know) don't run mid/low 14's anyway, more like high 14's to low 15's. a tC with I/H/E/pulleys would be a driver's race with a type-s, but a supercharged tC would beat a stock type-s unless the driver absolutely sucked.

I/H/E/crank pulley and good driver WILL and I repeat WILL do 14's. Ask MikeScion what he use to run N/A'ed with those mods, and he will tell you 14.8 constantly. I have it on tape, I don't just throw #'s out there. A stock S/C'ed tC will also do High 14's....Sorry man, the S/C'er still doesn't cut it in stock form for the price you pay. Especially when a N/A'ed tC can keep up with a F/I tC....That's a sad day in tensil town.

I posted the vid sometime ago. But on the Putfile site. Putfile will delete your vids if they aren't that active, so it's probably not there anymore. I will have to search the computer at home to find it and reload it to YouTube...

I think it would be a very close race and the typeS might come out a head. Either way nobody is going to blow the other one away. The typeS gearing I think will get it off the line faster.

I'll blow one away.....

LOL....all seriousness aside. I killed an RSX the other night. Couldn't tell what all it had, so the only visual I had were....

Bodykit
Exhaust
Wing

The only visual he had of me...

Black tC
Exhaust
(easy kill)

He didn't know what hit him.... I guess he got upset, because I beeped goodbye to him, but no beep was returned...

^^Nope, at night you can't see it anyway. And I make suttle shifts, so I don't make the HKS go off.
