How can it be a bad driver in an Automatic...you mash the gas and go...

S2k - Manual transmission 237hp 162 lbs-ft torque 2,885 lbs curb weight
tC - Turbo Auto transmission 222hp 206 lbs-ft torque 3,000 lbs curb weight

Hmmmm I wonder who is gonna win.......

Now if Petey uped the boost to say 6 or 8 psi... then it is the tC FTW all the way.

LoL....I'm like 2 threads behind. Meaning, I need to make 2 threads for you guys. One with the Pontiac GTP and S2k race, and another thread of the Z's 1/4 mile runs (no vid, but time slips need to be scanned in). I'm being lazy these days... Work has worn me out lately that I don't even want to see a computer.

Back on topic.... Petey's car weighs more, and has less hp but more tq. He still won Round 2, unlike the video tries to tell you. You can clearly see his back bumper is ahead of the S2k's back bumper.

You do realize we are talking about an automatic tC on 4.9 PSI right?

Don't worry, I've taken out a modded S2k before, so you have your Boosted tC win...

Correct. To stay safe for daily driving, I wouldn't go above 10.5 PSI. The majority of the guys are running 8-10 PSI on stock blocks. But this car in the vid (PeteyD's car) is an auto, and the auto has not been pushed yet to find it's limits. He won 1 race, and lost 2. The vid implies that he tied 1 race and lost 2, but you can clearly see him ahead of the S2k in Round 2.

im at 4.9 psi....with an exhuast leak...putting 222whp/206 ftlbs down...he just wanted to see what he would do against..i do not know how to break boost...nor did i down shift which were my biggest issues and probably wouldve caused me to win.

call me crazy, but i don't think it is really racing if it is just accellerating down a straightaway on the interstate with an auto. the s2k has to know how to stir the gear box right, all the guy in the auto has to do is stomp the gas and keep it pointed in the right direction. course. my biggest racing flaw is my lazy right foot, when i'm racing, i let the engine revv higher before shifting, but i forget to push the pedal down all the way, i tend to rest my foot at while pushing it like 75% of the way.
