My car runs in SM due to internal engine mods, I would feel bad for anyone that got stuck there for headers, but I know each club has their own subset of rules that sometimes superceeds SCCA.
The benefit of running in SP is that cars that aren't factory FI can't go FI and the ones that are can't make modifications to the FI system. The only place where things could get fuzzy I guess would be how the club determines what is "quiet". Mine hits 105db at WOT
Trying to get a new muffler setup to bring it down to 95db without adding cats back in, right now there are a few events I can't go to because the venue has a db limit.
