I am looking forward to buy Pioneer Avic D2 Navigation System
They seem to sell it for Cheap! $850 including shipping and no tax
Which is about 400 cheaper than the local stores.
Should I trust this site?

Do Pioneer Navigation system have updated version of the map? or do all Avic D2 come with same version of map no matter when you bought it?

I would like to know if i buy from local store like circuit city, do they have updated map for 2007 or latest version? or do all Avic D2 come with same version?
if i want to update, i have to buy maps and they are expensive right...?
i am worried if i buy from cheap sites, they come out with outdated maps?

 

you can check the Pioneer website and see what version of map software is included with the unit you're interested in, then check their software update page to see what is the newest product out there. My Eclipse is two years old and it still has the most "up to date" software available from them (for my area).

Personally, I'd check the specs and listed accessories from one of the sellers who are of average price and then compare it to this site that you are considering buying it from.

Also, if caraudioimage does not list a phone number(and answer it) or answer emails within 24 hours, I wouldn't buy from them. That's just my own little safety precaution that I live by. If there is a problem, I want a response from my seller asap.
