When I went to school, a long long time ago, "wheel" means only one, and "wheels" mean more than one. I would be wondering too about that email and I would definately call them and reiterate that you have 4 screwed up rims. Good luck and keep us updated. Just wondering, have you looked at www.treadepot.com yet to see if they have what you need? L8TR

I HATE WHEELMAX! Im trying to order rims and they e-mailed me stating that my order is on hold until I purchase their rim protection plan. I told them either process my order or cancel it because i didnt see a 6% off deal on the main page. So id just cancel and re-order using the discount to get the rims at sale price with the plan. Theyre still being useless and now my rims might not make it for a big car show i wanted to enter. WHEELMAX = CRAP!

I ordered once from Wheelmax and will never order from them again. Very poor customer service (even from their supervisors).

Thanks for the post. I almost bought rims from them but read this post and changed my mind.

Also, I would recommend not buying from DiscountWheelWarehouse.com they have the lowest rating "F" by the Better Busniess Bureau.

I decided to go with CustomWheel.com they have a better than average rating by the BBB and I will keep you updated on how that goes.

For those interested in a great service online rim and tire dealer I recommend www.treadepot.com I have referred several other SL members there and they are extremely happy with the sevice. I know they don't offer a HUGE selection but you can always call them to see if the rim you are looking for is available....BTW, I do not get any referrel kick back or anything from them, just keeping my eye out for other Scion peeps...

i live in miami where wheelmax has their main distribution and office building... i have purchased 2 sets of wheels from them and have personally seen their operation, the entire place is run by arabs and it smell like S**T, they have a bunch of low lifes working the warehouse and i have personally seen them abuse on peoples orders....... Exel wheels is a brand of wheel created by wheelmax and trust me anyone who has a set of exel wheels just baught themselves a big pain in the ___. if you own exel wheels be careful you dont hit any big bumps or potholes as the wheels will bend as easy as plastic... dont ever shop from WHEELMAX.COM, WHEELGUYZ.COM and especially GOTWHEELSANDTIRES.COM they are all out of miami, fl...

i had purchased a set of tires from GOTWHEELSANDTIRES.COM i went to pick them up and have them mounted and balanced. the guy thats was mounting my tires had a really bad attitude and was pretty much calling my car a piece of ____ and waist of time in my face... to make matters worse once i leave the shop i'm going down the street and as soon as i hit 60 MPH my car starts shaking violently the F**KING guy pretended to balance my tires and just put the little weights on the wheels to look like they were balanced... needless to say the guy no longer works there but the customer service is still horrible.

when i first got into cars ( about 2 years ago or so ) i ordered from them and boy did i have an experience with them. For starters the excel rims they sell are pure sh** cause they bend like bananas or something bendable. lol. needless to say they suck. but anywhose i ordered one set of wheels and tires and got diff wheels and tires completely. They recorded it wrong and would not admit it. so i got the original reciept prder from the operator and saw that theyw rote down the correct tires ( and still sent me a diff tire ) but wrote down the wrong rim.

i reported them to my credit card company, the BBB of florida, and they lost about 20 customers cause i posted this on matrixowners.com which was my previous car.

oh btw.

tire rack and discount tires are 2 of the best wheel and trie companies out there... i orders a set of tires from them not too long ago and their customer service blew me away... i had ordered some NITTO NEOGEN tires from them, 2 hrs after i submited the order they called me and told they didnt have them in stock and that they would send me some DUNLOPS with a higher speed rating for the same price... when i looked at the tires online they were $60 more than the NEOGENS they hooked me up big time.... DUNLOP TIRES are the SH**T!!.... 0! ROAD NOISE

I ordered from wheelmax.com in October 2005. I had read some of the posts from this forum before I tried them. Before I ordered, I called wheelmax 3 or 4 times with questions on the rims I wanted - getting a feel for their employees. Well, I took the plunge and ordered a set of Nex-O rims. I am very pleased with the purchase. Maybe wheelmax isn't good at handling problems when things go wrong but my order went smooth.

My order arrived on time, the rims were in perfect condition, and they charged the correct amount to my credit card. Can't ask for much more than that.

The other thing I was asking all the wheelmax sales guys about was how the Nex-O rims would hold up to salt and northern Ohio winter driving. One salesguy said it was no problem but another time I called a different salesguy said that he wouldn't do it if they were his rims. Well, I've run these rims through the entire winter and although it was pretty mild weather, the rims saw plenty of road salt. I have to say, they look great - no corrosion or blemishes have formed.

Also, wheelmax.com doesn't carry any all season tires, so I ordered a set from tirerack.com and I'm pleased with their service as well.

I'm running the Nex-O rims on my 2000 Chevy Malibu (yeh, I know this is a Scion forum). I plan on using these rims on my wife's '01 Alero if I get rid of my Malibu. Hope this info helps.
