I just wanted everyone to know about how great an experience I had at the Elgin Scion Dealership in Elgin, IL. We live in Huntley, IL and literally went to four toyota dealerships in hopes of looking and trying out the Scion Xa. I commute 50 miles everyday for work and with gas prices, wanted to trade my Altima gas gussler in. EVERY search I did on non-hybrid cars lead me to the Scion being the best car for the value. Not to mention - it's really cute. My only problem?? The four toyota dealerships we went to before the Elgin dealership didn't have any in stock. Although all the other dealerships were very helpful and their other cars were nice... I really wanted to jsut try one.

We were actually test driving a car from another dealership in the Elgin area and almost ready to commit... (It was 3 p.m. and we started at 9 a.m.) when our test drive took us past the Elgin Toyota Scion. My husband and I looked at each other after seeing 6 Scion Xa cars in the lot. We left the other dealership immediately.

We were greeted by four salesmen who welcomed us and opened the door to the showroom for us. When we made the bee-line to the Scions, we were introduced to a salesman, Frank White. Frank was very informative and pleasant. He told us all about the options and showed us a good test drive area. We were plesantly surprised by the roominess of the car. We were sold. After picking out or options on the fun website, Frank was very attentive to us in the waiting area while we waited (it was saturday and it did take a while) to get into the finace man. Once in with the Finace guy, I was even more impressed that we left him within 5 minutes of paper signing. We didn't sit and wait for stuff to print and get stuff like at other dealers. In and out in a flash.

I was even more thrilled with all the goodies you get afterward! Touch up paint, oil changes, keychains, free gas... We had our extras installed within a week and the service department was run with the efficency of a well oiled machine. In and out yet again. Very helpful and quick. Our extras did take and extra day to install, but the loaner car was nice enough to not care.

We had nothing but good things at Elgin Toyota Scion in Illinois. I would highly reccomend them to anyone. Frank even held an umbrella over my head - not his - while I got into my car after picking it up! What a gentleman. I would highly reccomend him as a caring straight forward salesman. He even put my new plates on himself instead of letting service do it. This is how service should be.
