there is one turbonics sale that looks really fishy. The seller has a 0 rating and just signed up.

same guy.. hes pretty good... does miami heat tickets, honda engines, various car parts.. etc... hes got some skill in convincing you to western union . and he tells stories about his personal life when you call him so you have reason to think hes legit.. well.. there are 2 guys in florida who got ripped off by undoubtedly the same guy.. they have his picture.. walking in to 2 different money transfer places where he picked up the 2 transfers.. when one of the people in florida went to the police station ( he is about 20 years old, african american male) they tell him.. we can only take a report...

they have his picture, and the type of car he drives... not to mention auctions currently on ebay. i dont know why nothing is being done about this guy... ive spent time to look around on ebay, he pumps up his own ratings with multiple usernames, that way if noone even calls on one of the items, he can just bid himself and he wont have to ship.. because i dont think he actually has any parts at all. just pictures... if this guy is caught i hope they humiliate his butt right after i get my hard earned money back.. i would actually pay to see him in pain. trip out on that.....

Have you contacted the fraud department at Ebay. He probably uses the same computer all the time which would allow them to track him.

dude, i really hope you get your hard earned funds back and that you get to open up a can of whoopa$$ on this guy.
this is the reason i've always been skeptical about buying things off of ebay. the only thing i've ever bought was my bB emblems for 20 bucks through paypal.

it's a hard lesson learned, so everyone buying from ebay should always ask for LIVE SHOTS of the items being auctioned off or to see it in person and be sure to check the dates of the files.

good luck.

You have to use common sense when buying. Check out the feedback and if you want more info email some of the buyers on his feedback. Don't ever use a money transfer. Always use Paypal or a credit card that has fraud protection. Cover your bases and you will be fine. I have bought a lot of stuff off ebay and haven't been burned bad yet. I have bought some things that I found a better price on because I didn't shop around, but everything has been what I purchased.

Good luck getting your cash back.

when i first started talking to him i told him i was in the marine corps and i get payed (today) so i would have to send him 2 payments, he seemed like a cool guy just trying to get rid of his turbo. now i have 800 bucks less and a week has passed with no turbo on my door. i think i have been scammed. i know i made a lot of mistakes the way i did this. im not sure if i should give out the name and number because its been 3 buisness days, but its looking not so good... any advice AT ALL?? he has an item on ebay RIGHT NOW. BE CAREFUL!!!!!!
Whoa sorry man. Don't trust ebay, there are many scams and illegal activites going on with it.

No i dont think thats him. All of his other auctions have been under names with like 4 feedback. This person has years worth of being on EBAY. So I doubt its him.

one thing i have learned to do is stay away from listings where the grammer is so poor that a 10 year old could have written the listing, same goes for craigslist, however; craigslist to me is safer since you generally meet the seller or buyer face to face.

Trust eBay - just follow their rules and they'll protect you. If you work outside their system that's in place for your safety, yea you open yourself up to the possibility of getting jacked.

Sorry to hear about that - is the turbonetics kit pretty popular? You might have enough info to track him down.

uhhhh, he wanted you to make payment via Western Union, and you DIDN'T find that suspicious!?!? 99% of the time when a seller wants to recieve payment through Western Union, its fraudulent.
