Are your 12k hids a violet color or dark blue because i ordered 12k hoping that they would be violet

 

there more blue. few of my boys have em. there violet when turned on and then go blue.

well i got 3k h3 hid's for my fogs and were solid for the 3 weeks i have had them, but today my passenger side hid has given out and doesn't turn on

 

Have the kit for a few weeks now, have an 09 TC and went with the 6k.

Install was a breeze. After reading some of the reviews and reading "daylight" effect I must say I am a bit disappointed, maybe I should have gone with the 5k but sometimes it feels like the lights aren't even on as any car next to me their light output overpowers mine easily. Naybe this is how it is supposed to be and I just had much higher expectations but for $60 I won't kill myself over it.

Any input would be appreciated maybe there is an issue with the ballasts or this is what you get with 6k and maybe should had gone with 5k.

You might have received a defective ballast, try swapping the defective one to the other side and see if the problem follows the ballast or the bulb, then email me the result to info@hidextra.com so I can get you RMA info to get it exchanged out for a new ballast. Thanks~

The light output is decrease by 200lumens from 6000K to 5000K, so you will have slightly dimmer light then stock bulbs. Thanks~

Hello everyone, I purchased these the other day (jan. 2 and as of today they are in Norfolk, Va which is about 30min drive from me. Very impressed. I figured they be here usps claims to be in transit to my house. But he where hit with a huge snow storm. so I figured they be here Monday. But over-all HIDExtra is Asian approved and totally BOSS. thanks. I may order the relay as well. Im hoping I can wire them once the come in and add the relay later. but time will tell.


**NOTE: They still came in today, even with the 7-9 inches of snow. sweet.***

Michelle, I hope you can help me. I ordered your HID kit last weekend and installed them on Monday. It's only been 3 days and my passenger side ballast does not work anymore.

I hope we can find a solution to my problem with your kit. Everything was installed correctly. just for your information. Like I said everything was fine till I went to the store and 5 min later nothing.

Sorry for the inconvenience, you might have received a defective ballast, please kindly swap the ballast from the none working side to the working side and see if the problem follows the ballast or the bulb, then let me know the results by emailing me your order # and full name to info@hidextra.com so I can get you RMA to get that defective part exchanged for a new part and get you a loaner ballast in the mean time. Thanks~

Michelle, I just got my HID's installed and it turns out they are an 8k kit instead of 6K, like i ordered. I'm sure you can't do anything as far as a return because its be installed.

My real question is do I need to buy a new kit? or is there anyway the I can just buy a pair of 6K's and hook them into the ballest I already have?

what do you mean if they made the mistake and sent you the wrong bulbs you shouldn't have to pay for anything. If you have the order Receipt and it says you ordered 6k then that is what you should get.

 

-Put my order in on friday, arrived saturday, I hope the weather permits install on sunday
