unfortunately for me I mailed him a check, so any sort of refund would have to come in a full-amount check, or else he'd be wasting unnecessary money on postage. but either way, i'm choosing to get the garnish.

just thought everyone would like to know that kanchi, the supermod getting the other thread unlocked is out of town for the weekend + some, so it might not be open until the middle of next week!

that say, i'm loving this lack of updates, i should have to ask at this point with a deal this sour, he should just be telling me every day, good or bad, what's up.

I think you're being quite optimistic about actually getting a quality product from him at this point.
Get a refund and take it to a body shop. They can do the work and you don't have to wait.

Temporarily shut down while I clean some of the sewage out of the bilge...

Back in service soon!

OK, pumped the bilges, mopped up some of the mess.

Try to remember this is a topic about poor experiences with a particular vendor, and attempts to get things straightened around..

This topic is NOT to be used to attack members (even iKONA), but to provide details of problems and fixes if any.

Attacking other members will not be tolerated.

Attacking Moderators will not be tolerated.

Dragging the discussion off topic will not be tolerated.

There are rules, folks, and every one of you promised to follow them before you were allowed to make your first post.

Please review the site rules, available in the gray menu bar above, before posting again.

Yeah, this is a long topic, over twenty pages, but apparently the depth of the problem appears to warrant that much attention.

If anyone feels that the topic is too long, I suggest they just not read it.

I'm unlocking this again, let's try to keep it ON TOPIC, and refrain from attacks on ANYONE.

are you getting hit with paypal fee's btw? i wonder if the fee's add up to more or less since he's paying you in installments instead of one full payment.

Fees will be more. Fees are $.30 plus a percentage. So each payment you loose an extra $.30
Make sure you get payed for the money you are losing due to fees. You should also charge him for the interest you would have lost had the money been in your savings acount.

Well and here is another key hole plug issue. He first posted about the issue on 9/11. This is from 9/30:

John, keep my few bucks and have fun. My advice to you is to pay attention to your customers and be more professional. You're not offering anything that can't be bought elsewhere, you're not doing anyone a favor, in fact quite the opposite. A recipe for business failure. Get a clue and remember that for every complaint you actually receive there are dozens more dissatisfied customers who feel the same way and whom you have lost.

Good luck.

Background for everyone else....
This guy took so long to ship anything that my ship to address changed from my initial order. I made him aware of this at LEAST 5 times via email and another handful via PM. Never a response other than lame excuses. He confirmed he shipped the product recently (read: two weeks ago) and I never received a thing. Leads me to believe it was shipped to the wrong address, even though I specifically requested otherwise. Probably TMI but didn't want y'all to think i am over-reacting.

EXTREMELLY FRUSTRATING!!!!

With the Paypal fees, you're going to end up approximately $5 short over the course of 3 $50 payments... something to keep in mind.

While I am glad to see iKona stepping up and beginning to issue refunds, postings made above by MrE333 lead me to believe that while a handful of people might get taken care of properly, there is still a very serious flaw in his bookkeeping/shipping methods.

These issues need to be ironed out before any new business is taken in.

As far as I can tell there are no PayPal fees...the $50 went from my PayPal account into my bank account in a few days with no deductions. Do they charge me later or something?

And I'm not gonna worry about interest, that'd be like .75 cents at the most, I'm not that ****
