I guess I was so excited when I got the box that I didn't notice I was posting my full address. My mistake. Anyways still haven't heard from iKONA. Sent him a similar message. He tends to let messages just sit in his in-box without reading them.

To be fair he tried to send me my order. iKONA I think you need to pay your secretary Stephanie a little more so she stops making mistakes. It's common though not to tape boxes that are being shipped across the United States.

Message from iKONA's website:

Welcome to i-KONA! We have a great verity of products for many of the hottest cars out on the market currently from the Scion tC to the new Ford Mustang. Mainly we specialize in Key Hole Plugs and interior painting but we are rapidly growing and starting to specialize in bigger body modifications such as rear hatch garnishes for Scion tCs and Honda Fits. Our number one concern is providing you the customer with an excellent quality product for a reasonable price and we will not sacrifice quality for speed.

We hope you enjoy our new website and please be patent with us as some of our website is still under construction. If you have any questions please email info@i-kona.com where either Stephanie or I (John Perez) will respond as soon as we can. Thank you for visiting us.

You know what that box looks like? Watch the opening scene of Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.

"HDS sir, I have a package for you."

"Sounds broken."

"Most likely, I bet it was something nice though."

aryan, you live in Santa Barbara?

Good, got the paint. All I need to do now is level everything out, primer, paint, clear, sand, buff, and that's it. I'll be sending you pics of the progress on Monday.

I don't want to defend iKona, but that tag about being unsealed and empty could have been put on there by your local servicing PO... the contents could have been removed during delivery...not that it's likely. It's just another aspect to keep in play.

I know. I'm pretty sure that there was something in the box but whoever packaged it forgot to seal it. The box was only taped with the shipping labels. The bottom of the box was left open.

Found all of these. I find it hilarious that his "friends" or "girlfriend" has all or some of these cars. iKONA, I supported you for a LONG time; hoping things would go better for you, but you dug your own hole. You say you have been doing bodywork professionally for 3 years. Do you have anything to back up that claim....such as a certificate (real or fake) saying you completed any auto painting/body repair courses? I understand that every business might have one or two bad experiences. Look at me and my customers for example. Out of the 97 customers I have had 94 have been satisfied. One customer was upset due to late shipping, another because his tail lights finish was slightly scratched during transit (my fault, not enough packing in the box). The last customer had to wait an extended period of time for their interior to return to them......that was my fault because it took me longer than I hoped for to remove the 4 layers of Krylon Fusion/Rustoleum paint on their pieces (was given to me like that). Some pieces were salvageable, while the others I went and paid out of pocket for new pieces from the dealership.

Why RX-8? Well I always loved Mazdas because of the RX series and after finding out that the ford mustang and the rx8 and most of the new mazdas share the same door handle I can easally make them for the RX8

Ford Edge Forum

Well my name is John Perez and I'm the owner of i-KONA in chicago (www.i-kona.com).

A great friend of mine (also x co worker at a renowned body shop in CHI) just bought a new 08 Ford Edge in White Sand and I have to say! Ford lately has been catching my interest and the Edge and Flex completely sealed it! I started making key hole plugs for the Edge (Ill have another forum on that (not for sale yet) and wanted to make more. Selling hundreds of products to Scions, Mitsubishis and mustangs I want to now see if you guys would have interest in these!

Their called bumperets. Many luxury cars have them. Their for the guys who love a smoother flush look on their car! The picture I have below... The first one is a stock Edge showing the rear hatch with all emblems and what not.

The second picture features the 2 bumperets (One on each side of the license plate) I can have them fitted with LED lights in any color upon request of order (NO ORDERS ACCEPTED YET WE ARE JUST GETTING SETTLED WITH A PROTOTYPE). I also have a debadged and shaved rear hatch handle (Garnish)

What would you guys think is an appropriate price for this? And what other features would you like incorporated into it? The product would be made of high quality fiberglass or polyurethane and will either be attached to the panel via studs and bolts or a series of 3M adhesion tape stripes on the edges of the bumperetts. And yes I will the option to have them purchaseed unfinished, primered or painted to color match / custom color. We use high quality Dupont and RM paints. Lifetime warranty on all refinishes.

I know I most likely have to become a sponsor or vendor to sell so I am not selling anything until I become a sponsor or vendor of some sort. I also want to d a group buy to brake the product in at a great price.

Honda FIT Forum

GI in Key Hole, Bumper, and rear hatch plugs!
________________________________________
First off my name is John Perez and I'm the owner of iKONA. Im trying to bring these to the Fit because IMO their sick little rides!

This is not a sale thread and I wont be selling these until if I become a sponsor/vendor. Or have a group buy if possible.

Key Hole Plugs
What are they?
These are high quality products made 100% by i-KONA. Individually inspected, color matched to the stock color of your choice, (Contact us for custom colors) cleared with UV resistant Dupont clear for a perfect gloss and lifetime guarantee on the paint. That's what makes our plugs stand out above our competitors and also makes ours the best quality guaranteed. Besides when was the last time you used your key hole now since most of the cars on the market now days have keyless entry? Installing is simple, just match up the shape of the back of the plug with the inside of the key hole assembly, most self hold but if not then add a drop of light adhesion to one side (hot glue, silicone, emblem glue, etc) and place it in. Do yourself a favor and give your car a cleaner uninterrupted look by covering that out of place silver key hole and buy a set of key hole plugs.

Prices range from $9.99 - $14.99 depending on if the car needs one or two plugs.

Key Hole Plugs!
• Perfectly Flush
• Color Matched
• Life warranty on paint
• Cost less than two meals at Mcdonalds!
• Removable and Reusable

Bumper Plugs
Are tiny plugs that pop right into the 2 holes in the front bumper that would previously be occupied by the license plate. Removing the license plate achieves a more aggressive look and a better look overall because theres no distortion of the final frontal image of the car.

Prices are $13.99 for a set of 2.

I can also do hatch plugs, spoiler delete plugs, wiper plugs, and other miscellaneous plugs. All I need is the size! And yes all my plugs pop in place. No need to remove panels or fasten plugs from the inside of the panle. They pop right in. Plug and play... get it!

Prices range from $9.99 and up depending on size, difficulty of the plug since we manufacture them ourselves, and how many is needed.

If you are interested add your name to the list while I find out how to become a sponsor / vendor. I just want to see if theres interest.

I also make key hole plugs, spoiler/wiper delete/ bumper plugs for the following

Ford Mustang, Edge, Flex, Taurus, Fusion, Focus, Chevy Cobalt, Pontiac G5, G6, Scion tC, xA, xB, xD, Hyundai Tiburon, Lancer/Evo X, Most toyotas, and several Lexus models. As you can clearly see this is out profession and business, we also make other products but those are for other cars and I don't want to use up your bandwidth with products that do not pertain to this haha.

I don't think I'm allowed to post my website so if you have any questions please feel free to ask or PM me.

LIFETIME WARRANTY ON ALL PAINT ON OUR PRODUCTS!
QUALITY GUARANTEED AND GUARANTEED TO BE SUPERIOR TO OUR COMPETITORS!

Please add your name on the list below with what you would like and color. If I see a good amount of interest I will take the necessary steps to start selling them.

1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
As you can see our products have mirror like reflections because after the clear coat we wet sand, buff, and polish each and every plug to perfection. No other company does that because it takes an incredibly long amount of time to do that. We do take the extra step!

Looks like iKONA got shut down on most of the forums. We need to keep tabs on him to make sure he doesn't change his name again and start scamming people.

He's refunded me $100 so far since October, still owes me $80. I last heard from him on 11/8 when he said:

Hey bud Ill paypal you 80 when my acc is taken out of hold. Because that one guy on the forums who decided to spread everything to other forums people started filing claims before they even got their product. So now until all the claims are settled my acc is on hold which shouldn't be for long. Most of the claims are being reviewed by paypal because I provided tracking, the rest are pending shipment.
I'm gonna follow up with him today
