Ingalls Engineering Direct Contact - Excellent
Firstly, I've already read several posts about dissatisfaction about the torque damper. I for one didn't really realize how much I needed something to keep my engine from shifting about so much when I get into it, until I had the TD out and drove my car a bit hard. I heard my engine buck and my car was not pleased. I had taken the damper out because I was having issues with it. Long story short an idiot friend of mine drove my car, and accidentally shifted from 3rd to 2nd from about 5k RPM. My motor was fine (this happened a while ago) but my damper took the abuse. It was still working alright, but from that point on, I started to hear some odd noises coming from it. I PM'd Dan from Ingalls here, just to get advice and an opinion, and he promptly responded with some settings that I might try to fix the issue. I tried what he had written, and it was to no avail. Once again I contacted Dan, and he asked me my information as to where and when I bought it, then said if I would like, I could ship him the damper, and pay the return shipping so he could check it out. I figured for a few bucks, why not, maybe I was just not setting stuff right. Dan was able to diagnose and repair the damper for me, and he kept me in the loop the entire time. There were no hassles, no runarounds, just straight up fantastic customer service. I have to say that if all their employees are like Dan, then Ingalls will be around for a long long time. I'm very pleased with the company, and will not hesitate to deal with their product again. In fact, it's only a matter of time before I buy their 4 point rear strut set up.
