Jamasco Race Engineering.....Awesome Car
Hey Scion tC Community,
I am a FM owner out of NYC (Manhattan to be exact). I just recently flew down to Miami, FL to see some family and relax. While I was down there I figure I should look up Jamasco and take an up close and personal look at that Infamous Monster of a tC.
My people, this car is my dream. It was overwhelming to see this car upclose and take a look in the engine bay. I could feel the power just radiating off it, I was soooo impressed by these young guys down at Jamasco, especially Jason (from the BX)
Stand up guy, him and his brother who had no problem showing off their tC to me when it was Hella Hot outside.
These guys really know what they are doing, and me not being in the best financial state to invest in a Stage 1(which I want sooooo bad) can only speak in hope of eventually getting one. However, for those who plan or are currently waiting for their's from Jamasco, all i can say is enjoy it. It looks like an awesome product for an awesome car.
By the way, for those who this might interest: Jason said everything is done, however he has been waiting for the company they contracted to make the turbos to deliver and as of yet no delivery, so for all you skeptics and haters.......it's not his fault, be patient. And for those who are ordering or ordered a turbo and are going to have it installed by some random shop or even a shop with a rep. my suggestion is to do what I plan to do (if and when I get one), take a couple of days off from work or whatever occupies your time on a daily basis and take a road trip down to 5755 Funston St. in Hollywood, FL......have the guys who desigend it install it, it would only be right;
For Your tC that is!

I am seriously starting to think Jamasco are the ones posting crap about ZPI. First they make a bunch of accusations without any proof against ZPI, now this? I can probably bet money on the fact that this was written by someone from Jamasco.
Anyone else find this funny?
Please

Why would you think that? There is no reason not believe this guy.
Based on your logic, ZPI would have been the culprits that started spreading rumors about Scion Speed. Right after all that crap got posted, ZPI released their dynos and videos and the such which makes a good PR move as people would see Jamasco Engineering as evil baddies wanting to rip us off while jacking off at their computers and turn to good, wholesome, ZPI with their open arms and open hearts and open information.
Is that true?
It's most likely not. So how is it possible that this guy was paid off by Jamasco Race Engineering? Remotely perhaps, but you're just being closed minded. If someone had started rumors about ZPI than everyone would probably be on Scion Speed's side right now. Both companies have had problems with the tC and both companies are having troubles getting their respective turbos out the door and (apparently) both companies have talked to eachother and settled things (at least they publicly said "let's end this petty squabble" or similar line.)
Even if he was paid by Jamasco, what difference would it make?
Ok.. now.. quitate54, did you take pics? Steel some more images of the current Scion Speed tC?
I wouldn't be so quick to tell everyone their turbo's are coming... problems tend to come up whenever people talk about nearby releases.

Look fellas and possibly ladies,
I am not here to do the rant thing and the back and forth thing either. I do live in manhattan, NYC (washington Heights to be exact), therefore I am Dominican.
(sorry, you would be laughing too if you were from here). But anyway, I have no reason to make a comany look better than the other. The reason I have leaned towards the Jamasco side and actually took time out to go and see the car is because of all the vids they have posted. They have turned me on to this car in ways you cant even imagine. I am a newbie to this whole tuning thing, so i guess i can be turned on very easily, but when it comes down to ZPI they havent posted as much stuff on these boards pertaining to media. I was in Miami visiting family, shoot me, and I guarantee you that if I had family in KY then I would go see ZPI's car too. But lets's be for real, how many Dominicans live in KY
Seriously tC Community, I have no underlying reason to favor one company more than the other, I am just a fan. I guess I did wrong in posting my first message considering all the Auto shop drama which I didnt really know of considering I just got back from Miami this morning and I had no internet access down there. Guess I should have read the posts from these past couple of days first.
As for a pic of the current Scion Speed tC, I took a pic with my lil bro's cam who is still down there until sunday evening, but when he gets back I will def. post two pics because when I took one of them there was a big electrical pole in the way....all I know is while i was down there I was a lil confused because the ScionSpeed vids show the white tC with the bumper that says ScionSpeed and the black wind splitter etc. but whe i got down there i noticed this tC (also white) had the Jamasco decal across the sides and it had the Kaminari body kit. I knew they had more than one, but I didnt know if this was the 400+ hp tC I was looking for. The guys actuallly told me I was in luck that I came that day (Thurs. 06/09/05) because they brought a black one in the day before...
But fellas, please believe me, like I said I am just a fan that saw a car he had been lusting over the internet for a while and finally got to see it in person. Don't persecute Jamasco or ZPI.........i had no clue about the drama going on on the boards this week, if i had known I wouldnt have posted.
I will post the pics, just give me till sunday when my bro gets back.Thanx

kungpaosamuraiii:
By the way, just to clear up, I never said they were coming soon, the guy Jason from Jamasco said they all other components were done and that the turbos had not come in yet.
So, I dont know what else to say; I actually wish I wouldn't have posted anything and kept my joy about that car to myself.
And my apologies in advance to Jamasco and/or ZPI if I have caused any future troubles.......especially business related.

Hah, you didn't say they're coming soon, too true. My mistake!
This is supposed to be a Scion enthusiast forum so I'd venture to say that if you're enthusiastic about something related to Scions then it's fair game.
But did you see the black tC modded up or was it still stock? Not really lucky if you got to see a bone stock black tC.. not much to them except the smell.

Great conspiracy theories.
If anyone wonders who I am, or seen4ever, or sciontc8 (Hal), browse the local boards already listed in another thread.
Here's a link to my car. http://www.kydsm.com/gallery/showgal...t=500&ppuser=1
The timeslips are from the closest 1/4 track, Lexington
Proof enough?

Tjis whole thing has gotten so out of hand that I'm actually considering waiting until next fall to buy my TC, at least then the supercharger or some definate turbo's will be on the market, but thats just me.
I was just PM'ed by Alexy from Jamasco. I think his comments have given me some confidence in this.
My reply was not meant to be an attack on Jamasco, or a defense for ZPI, it's just that when you see a dozen threads attacking various products based on unsupported evidence, and then you see someone giving extremely high praise of a product made by one of the companies involved, you assume things...
No harm was meant.
P.S. quitate54: I didn't mean to attack you in person. I believe you when you say you didn't know what was going on here before. Sorry if I offended you. The drama between these companies can make some of us

Do not purchase a Turbo for your tC from Jamasco Race Engineering or Scion Speed. I ordered a Turbo back on 3/21/2005. That is right over a year ago! I finally got the Turbo sent to me in December, and no computer. Then I got the computer and no wiring harness, and a few other parts! I was told by Jason that I would have everything I need to install in April. April of what year I should have asked him! I tired to get a refund of money from them several times, and each time I was told that it was already in the mail and that they could not and would not refund my money! It is now January and I still do not have all of the parts and now they tell me that there are no instruction manuals available so that you knwo how to install their Turbo kit! I will keep you posted if it all works out! SO FOR THOSE OF YOU WAITING TO PLACE YOUR ORDER FOR A YEAR OR SO UNTIL YOU CAN SAVE UP ENOUGH MONEY TO PURCHASE ONE YOURSELF, PLACE YOUR ORDER NOW AND BY THE TIME IT ACTUALLY COMES IN, YOU WILL HAVE ALL OF THE MONEY SAVED UP THAT YOU NEED!

Yeah, ScionSpeed Screwed over many tC guys with their turbo kits.... sorry you weren't aware until recently, as most people have hit up their credit card companies and got their money back and went ZPI or DEZOD.
