Default MOBILEHID**Single best mod you can do**

I installed my MOBILEHID kit a few hours ago and finally got to drive it tonight after dark. Let me just say, I would have continued driving around if I didn't have to be at work in 6 hours (need sleep).

This kit is, IMHO, the best mod you can do to your xB. The light is UNBELIEVABLE compared to stock. Every sign jumps out a long way away, a broader/wider pattern, and a nice color to boot. I got the 5k kit due to the 6k kit being just temporarily unavailable. The 5k is still a nice color and almost appears to have a little blue due to being such a crisp white.

Get ahold of Clifford, he will set you up and get the goods to you FAST. I know there are other posts about this mod, but it deserves another. Thanks again Clifford, I LOVE them!

Sorry, but the single best mod is a steering wheel cover.
It's a bit spendy at $12- but what the heck... I'm worth it
I put the foamy plushy Scion-Gray on the wheel and the "feel" of the car is much sweeter

Clifford spend a lot of time with me playing email tag. I couldn't decide which kit to buy, had tons of install questions, and even bothered him with inquiries related to doing them in my wife's car. He went above and beyond everytime, but especially last night (Saturday NIGHT!) when he continually responded to my questions about install.

There is likely no better dealer I have dealt with in my life. Clifford is the man, PLEASE, do yourself a favor and get in touch with him. And no, there is nothing in it for me.

I did a very similar install to the one Malibu Rapper did. I opted to leave the metal brackets in the box as I could not figure out where they are supposed to go and didn't want anything "hard" mounted in the car. I stopped by Walmart and got some additonal fasteners. I like cords tucked away and tiddy. I will post pics later...

Did you guys notice that your interior hvac lights no longer come on after putting the kit in? I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that the harness only requires a signal from one of part of the harness. It also no longer gives me a warning tone when I leave the lights on. Anyone have any ideas for a fix?

What are hvac lights?

Anyway, the only difference I have found is that I can see a lot more of the path in front of me. Interior dash lights, domes, etc work fine. Still chimes when lights left on. Don't know what to tell you

Mobile HID is an excellent company to deal with. When I received my kit I had a question about it and sent them an email. Within an hour they had called me back to answer my question. So the product, price, and service is all Top Notch A+++

Thanks for the kind words guys. Means a lot to me and it's why I do it. Buying lights can be a confusing thing and I see it as my job to get you guys and gals informed about what you want to purchase and then to get you the best bang for your buck product followed up with the best customer service I can offer.

I'm a big fan of the Scion community and try to support it as much as I can.

Long story short, i had purchased a kit off the website for $250. realized he was running a sale on scionlife for $140, so i PMed him. after speaking to him on the phone, he was going to give me the kit for $170. i was fine with that. after realizing i ordered when it was for $140, he refunded me a full $110!

Clifford, great customer service man! i really appreciate what you did. thanks again!

(i haven't installed them yet, so i'll update on how that goes..hehe).

Any data on intensity on HID's through smoked headlights? I recently put stealth films on from Headlight Armor and there really is a notable reduction in lighting, though still driveable. Also, the light gets tinted yellowish going through the film, I'm wondering if running a blue-tint HID will be white after going through the film. Headlight Armor does plainly state lighting will be reduced on their site, and with the additional illumination from the foglights I still consider it safe, just curious what the difference stock vs HID would be through tint, I'm assuming the delta would be somewhat diminshed.

i have rockblocker smoked overlays and the light reduction is tremendous. from both the inside and out they look like the stock halogens

Bump for Clifford.
Not only is he a pimp with the best HID's around but he is a pimp that donates his products to Scion community charity events on a regular basis.

Big time props to Clifford

Whispaz, so what you're saying is that with the HID's through a smoke film, the brightness will increase from ~50% stock back to the brightness of a stock light without an overlay? That would be worth it I think. Any comments on beam color through the film, is it still yellowish or can it be made white with a blue tinted HID source?

thats correct, the light may be a little bit more than stock but not much. i have 5000k so the color is back to a yellowish. about 2 weeks ao i met up with another member here to pick up some lights and he couldnt tell i had HIDs in.
i dont mind much anymore because i can still see at night, plus the smoked headlights looks so much better

Alright, might try the 6000k or 8000k's and see if it comes out white. I know it's been asked before, but what does the stock xB use? H4?
