Default My 5 day old car has been stuck at service for 3 days, help!

Got my tc from Servco Scion Hawaii on Dec 1, 2004 and had the dealer install the trd sway bar. A few days later I noticed a clunking noise from the rear that overpowered the factory subwoofer I also had installed. I brought it to the toyota service center, on Monday Dec 6, next to the scion dealership and they told me the next appointment they had was Dec 22. My car doesn't even have plates yet, and I have a very disturbing noise that even their service advisor verified as a definate problem. So I went to the Scion dealership and my salesperson called a toyota dealer on the other side of the island and gets an appointment for Thursday morning which would mean me and my wife taking time off. The scion dealer said I can leave the car on standby on the approval of the general manager. They did not look at the car Tuesday or Wednesday even though the general manager said it 'looked good' on Wednesday. I got a loaner xb Wednesday afternoon (I had to drive our older car that luckily we didn't get rid of yet for 2 days) and the salesperson said she would cancel the appointment she scheduled for Thursday. I get a call Thursday afternoon from the other dealer asking me why I didn't show up. I explained that my salesperson scheduled the appointment and said she was going to cancel it and that I was sorry that didn't happen. My car still has not been looked at on Thursday (today). I called the salesperson and she said they are having 'internal conflict' within the company and the unionized toyota service department treats scions like 2nd class cars. Even the general manager seems to have no influence, am I correct in saying that?

I realize I have a loaner, but I'm making payment on a car that I have not been able to drive and I am not getting a clear answer as to when they will look at my car short of my original appointment on the 22nd.

Is there anything else I can do to remedy the situation? This has not been a very good first-time buyer experience.

you should call Scion HQ. I don't know the number, but it's available here, at scion.com, and in your owners man, I'd think.

Thanks, I sent them an email as I have read a couple posts about them being pretty good about replying to those. I'll see if that is true or not.

UPDATE: they replied to my email telling me to give them a call. But earlier that same day I got a call from the dealer saying the car was ready so that was that.
