I have a issue.I purchased something off the the classified adds on this website.I will not mention names or what was purchased but it was for 250 dollors.We negotiated the price with shipping.The seller agreed to sell for that price shipped.He said that he checked on how much it would be to ship.He said it was about 50to70 bucks.Well I get a PM from him saying that it cost 115 to ship and that he feels jipped.He asked that out of the kindness of my heart will I send him more money.

IMO Everyone should check on shipping before selling.If you nego a price then thats the price.He is making me feel allittle guilty.Oh and yes he shipped it and its on its way.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO IN MY SITUATION?????

 

Well he knew the price before he shipped it. If he didn't like the price of shipping it, he could have just not shipped it.

HOWEVER. If I were in your position and the item arrives as promised, I might throw him a few bucks.

 

Well I would wait until you get it and check on the package how much they paid....
If it was the 170 or however much it ended up being....
if it was me and it was a really good deal from him I would split the difference....
But if you didn't get that great of a deal then I wouldn't really worry about it because its kind of his fault because he should have known how much it was gunna be before he shipped it

 

Well got the parts today and I will tell ya he aint getting nothing more from me.I bought a lip kit from spongebox and he claimed that it had no defects but it was all scratched up and looked like he curbed it about 100 times.The side skirt was warped and had missing parts.I guess he got me.Its a good thing I didnt send more money.

 

Sorry to here that....there's been lots of bad sales of SL lately....that's why I'm not buyin anything off here....its to bad for the honest people

 

I know what you mean.This guy ruined it for me.I wont be buying from here any more.I guess that is what happens when you strart trusting people too much.If I sell something I tell exactly what is wrong with it if anything is wrong or if its perfect then I say that.I like to be honest with my buyers so that I dont get a bad rep.That way everyone is happy.

 

Ya exactly and that's the way it should b.....
So is the lip and side skirts a total loss? Or with lots of work ok....?

 

They were stock peices that were BSP in color which is what I wanted.I think that the one side skirt is toast and the front lip is really scratched up like it was curbed a bunch of times and as for the rear it looks bad but I hit a tire with mine which broke it into peices so I will have to use the rear.

 

A little OT here but Oldboxman, why haven't we seen you at any local M&Gs. Tulalip Casino just ain't far from any part of Lake Stevens ;)

I'm sorry you got screwed. I would of probably ended up paying if I had been made to feel guilty, as you said he did. However, I know if I were the seller, and I didn't feel like eating the cost for shipping, I would of asked the buyer first if the higher shipping was okay first. It would be a cold day in Everett before I'd ask for more "surprise" shipping.
