Need help with MobileHID -- Poor customer service

Default Need help with MobileHID -- Poor customer service

I'm looking for some sort of phone number I can call to get a hold of someone at MobileHID, because recently, they have provided poor, actually no customer service via email.

In December of 07 I ordered a kit from them. One of my ballasts went bad around early November of 08 (well within the one year warranty period) so I emailed the company asking how to go about getting it replaced.

Here was Clifford's reply:


I checked the records in December of 07 and found your purchase order. Please send in the broken ballast with the copy of this e-mail so the receiving guys can reference your purchase.

I followed his instructions and put my ballast in the mail. Having not heard from anyone for a while, I sent another email on January 14 of this year asking the status.

No reply. No ballast. Nothing.

This is poor customer service, and it seems MobileHID is not willing to stand behind their products.

So, if someone knows a phone number I can use to contact Clifford or MobileHID, I would very much appreciate it.

this is the number directly off of his website: 480-329-2175 mon-fri 10am- 6pm mst. Mobilehid has excellent customer service, maybe he never got you ballast or maybe you never got his, mail does make mistakes, give him a call and im sure he will straighten it all out

I was actually just looking around on Google Maps and the address to which he told me to send the broken ballast is actually someone's house.

So it's not like it got lost in some huge shipping/receiving center.

I don't know what the problem could be.

mobilehid may take a while to send a replacement product, but show me another company that has a similar warranty at a great price, there is none, be patient and keep trying to get a hold of him, im sure cliff is a very busy man.

Well i guess this is the correct time to get this off my chest.

I also purchased from mobilehid when they have their xmas specials last year. I got everything installed and guess what, a bad ballast . Ok i understand $hit happens and i called them up. They answered my call pretty quick and i advised i tested it with a voltage tester and they agreed it was bad. They looked up my order and said ti would be sent out ASAP. A month goes by and i hear nothing. I am a little annoyed at this point. So i call them back up and he (dont rememebr name) tells me on the phone, oh your order has been sitting here because we werent sure where to send your replacement to ! Common sense would tell you to send it to the same address or better yet CALL ME !!!!
So it took another week to get my replacement.

Product = 9 out of 10
Cust service = 5 at best

in my experience.

I'm sure cliff is a very busy man. And they do offer great prices.

This does not excuse the fact that it has been nearly three months without any sort of reply, email or otherwise, from the guy.

i love mobilehid, but i agree.. it seems like the customer service is falling off

If you had posted this in the right section you would of got a response from him. Next time: Buyer Seller experience.

BTW, Cliff is prolly busy. Just leave him a message and keep emailing him.

I called him on Monday, February 9. He was really apologetic, said he would check his records and call back.

I've heard nothing.

I don't care how "busy" everyone says he is, this is freakin ridiculous.

hmmm....I nor hundreds of others have ever had issues with Cliff. You seem to be the one bad apple.
