Default Oznium CENSORS Customer Reviews - Likes smoke blown ......

Highlights:

- Bought Oznium Full TBL for tC in April/May 2008
- 4 leftmost LED's burned out within 6 months
- Free replacement shipped

All in all, a good experience. But after leaving a customer review on their site and being able to view it online, it has since been taken down.

C'mon now, can't you take a little bad with all the good?

The most negative comments in the review were:

- My opinion of an overall lack of daytime brightness for the light smoke and/or clear TBL
- My concern that if the replacement TBL also fails, it may not be covered under warranty. (Warranty is defined by Oznium to be 12 months from the original date of purchase. No extended responsibility for replacement parts is given.)

Were I a potential customer, I'd want to know as much as possible. Buyers, be warned.

I have been told, comments on their site are edited and removed if needed.

You can obviously tell because by looking at some SL members they obviously have issues with English. lol

My spelling and grammar abilities within the English language are fine.

Albeit opinionated, as would be expected, the review was not malicious, nor slanderous.

They just didn’t want or like something less than general praise being shown.

I am genuinely appreciative of the replacement product they sent to me for free, but a little constructive criticism never killed anybody.

In these tough economic times, transparency is one of many competitive advantages that a business should consider if they plan to continue to exist and/or prosper.

here's my take on it...

Oznium believes just because he has taken care of a bad problems with his "great customer service" that he feels he has the right to remove or edit the review on his own accord.

issues lie in the fact that he has control of the reviews and the site himself and not the customers themselves... very much leaving only good, favorable reviews that work in his own favor to grab more business.

phil, eventually you are gonna read this sooner or later, but you know very full well you are guilty of doing this.

what SHOULD happen, is you need to provide enough satisfaction to the customer and allow them to change their reviews to what they want to place, noting that you have either rectified or solved the issue at hand..

HOWEVER, also noting that the problem was still there in the first place, and not letting it disappear into the mist as nothing happened

when a person visits a site, reads reviews, and expects a perfect product (because of reading the AWESOME reviews)

and in turn, receives a product that needs to be replaced in the future... they should at least know a little tidbit of what they might've expected

you make plenty of money with the prices you charge that i know you still don't lose much money from the multiple replacements you have sent out over the past number of years for various products you carry

criticism is criticism, and regardless of what is written on the site, you need to do your job to your own extent and allow the customers to make up their own minds whether or not to listen to the reviews.

seeing as how this is a company experience thread, i am moving this thread accordingly to the correct forum.

Hey, sorry to dig up an old topic.

Perhaps you were looking at the wrong page, or the wrong place. I'm 99% sure the review is still up and was never removed.

I can't figure out your name from your username here 'dweedlebug', but the review posted sounds quite similar (and also same writing style) as what you've posted here on scionlife.

The review as seen on the tC TBL page:

http://www.oznium.com/tc-tbl
After researching the various options for a full TBL for the Scion tC, I decided on the Oznium Light Smoked product and purchased it on May of 2008.

The pro's:
- Good price
- Near OEM fitment
- Fast shipping
- Good illumination at night
- Outstanding customer service after the sale on warranty issue

The con’s:
- Not as brightly illuminated in daylight (compared to OEM LED’s)
- 1st unit had the 3 most left-sided LED’s fail after 6 months

Overall I am pleased, but hope the replacement lasts longer as the 12-month warranty is from the original date of purchase.
Again, maybe you made an honest mistake in thinking that we removed it?

We don't remove reviews. I think in the last 7 years I've removed 2 reviews. Once, the customer's issues had been resolved, and I contacted them to see if they'd like me to keep the review up with an update to the situation, or remove it completely. They wanted me to remove it completely.

Occasionally I'll edit a review to correct spelling, punctuation, etc. Never changing the content.
