Default PAY*PAL*

Well I was dumb, and did not realize what I was doing at the time. So I'd just like to warn any other potential idiots... whenever you think you've found a good deal on a sweet new part for your totally awesome scion tc, and the random douche-puddle selling the item tells you to use paypal...

**************************************
DO NOT SEND THEM $ AS A "PERSONAL PAYMENT"!
**************************************

I honestly did NOT realize it made a difference, and its my own fault. It is basically like wiring money straight to the d-bags account. So when your parts youve been waiting on never show, and the scrot-lick stops responding to your emails...Paypal can and will tell you to F off. I got in touch with my bank, and should be getting my $ back, but incase anyone else may not realize this (i know, it seems so simple) I just wanted to bring it up. Have a nice day

Yeah. If you gift money it also does not send the seller your address info. I found this out when someone gifted me money (not at my request btw, they did it on there own accord) and I had to hold off on shippng because I had to wait for them to email me there address

Always have the person send you an invoice for what you are buying first.

Its not necessary to have the seller send you an invoice.

Just send the money as payment for "goods", and put a detailed not with the payment stating where you are from and what the money is for.

(i.e. Payment for Exedy Stage 2 clutch from Scionlife.com member yellowxhoodie) or whatever.

Only send as a gift if you know and trust the seller. Often times people, (including myself) will ask the buyer to send it as a gift because the seller gets charged 3% by paypal. So say your selling a turbo kit for $2000 shipped. Paypal would take approximately $60 from the $2000 the buyer just sent you.

I tell the buyer to send it as a gift if they feel comfortable. I also tell them that I completely understand if they dont feel comfortable but then I ask them to pay 3% more of whatever the agreed price was to cover the fees that I will be charged by paypal.

If you are the buyer and are wary of the seller, the extra 3% is completely worth the peace of mind. Because paypal will do nothing for you if you send the payment as a gift.

Or you can avoid the whole ordeal by putting the price in your sale thread stating $2000 (or whatever price) including shipping and paypal fees or plus shipping and 3% paypal fee.

they do that to avoid paypal fees. If you're buying a good, then the seller has to pay to receive money. Its the right thing to do and I'll never pay a seller 3% extra. Paypal is extending their service to do business and they need their cut too. Or would you be ok with me selling my stuff in your store?

Another note:

If you're sending the money as a gift, and using a CC for the funds, it charges you the regular paypal fee.
