Playstation 3 & Nintendo Wii (PimpMyPride)
Pimp gave scionlife member an offer. Everything seems to be going fine, until recently. Pimp stopped posting messages about the situation. People that tried the offer got no response and no explanation of the situation.

the thread was locked ... seems like a few people have been getting refunds ... if everyone does get refunds voluntarily from him than he might not have been scamming anyone .. but i still want the ps3
Guys, I really do hope you get your refunds. It is unfortunate that this happened to so many of you. If he gives you refunds that's great, count yourselves lucky. My guess is he tried to pull a fast one, thought he would get away with it, then all of a sudden people tracked him down and made him nervous so he is trying to give everyones money back so people will leave him alone. It's things like this that really make the world a distrusting place.
You guys buy your PS3's at a store like everyone else. EBAY can be a good site but unfortunatley may times people get scammed. There is no way this guy has a plethora of PS3's. If I am wrong ok I will post an apology saying so but for now, no way.
I feel for all of you that gave money to this guy, but also, I applaud you all for banning together and not taking it sitting down. I wish you all the best of luck with your refunds.

I was ready to sent him $555 the other day.
By some miricle paypal suspended his account just before I sent it.
He claimed that since I sent payment in full it would be proccesed faster than the people who sent deposits.
He said that my order would be shipped by the 28 of october.
He also told me that he belives scammers should be shot point blank in the head.
I am a trusting person by nature and told him that its not the scammers fault, its the person being scammed fault. To wich he also agreed.
Let me know how it turns out for you guys.

tthere is no way he can get it pre launch, because then the company can start throwing fines on the company selling it. i know if best buy even sold a game early, they get fined 10k for each game sold early.
I got my Paypal refund tonight in about an hour and a half.
I still see no actual reason to believe he's scamming people. All I see is that he stopped posting for a day and people started freaking out. For all we know he got a flat tire, or forgot to pay the power bill, or got sick of answering emails from rabid video game junkies and went out with friends to drink heavily.
All I'm saying is, don't be too quick to burn the guy at the stake. I'd definitely recommend going for the refund since Paypal seems to be sticking it to him. Whether he's for real on the PS3/Wii or not remains to be seen.
Personally, I think he was confused about what he can and can't do as a vendor as far as following the release dates, and possibly about the number of systems he would be getting. I thought this at the beginning, but since he was verified on Paypal I figured it wasn't much of a risk when compared with the possibility of getting a Wii before my birthday. (Nov 10) Now I have my refund in record time.
Why bash someone who didn't hurt anyone but himself (reputation-wise) in the deal?

paypal does this all the time, if you get too much money w/ paypal and have nothing to back it up, which he doesn't, they will lock the account up. If he did have these systems coming, he can show the paperwork to Paypal and they will unlock it. But clearly, he is angry and paypal for locking up his account so something must be fishy since he can't prove his inventory.
I recieved a pm from pimp, PIMP WROTE sorry but orders have been put on hold until we clear up some payment issues with the payment processor (PayPal). Once we get another payment solution, we will begin accepting orders.
Now who is this we.

i wanted to add my .02 cents in here even though i didn't do any business with Jon and what i posted in the sales thread may seemed kind of hostile.
Jon, i understand your situations with Paypal, and it sucks for you and for many others. I am very glad to hear that you are taking this manner in the best way possible with the little options that you have.
Hopefully it's all taken care of. and uhm.. post up when you can.. some people are still worried
