Thumbs down Randode.com bad shipping, misleading

Purchased Randode MAF adapter on September 16 did not receive package until sometime earlier this month. The package was sent from seller September 28th. The entire time I received no email informing me that there was going to be a delay in shipping or it might take him a few weeks to process my order. I stuck with it because I've only heard good things from Randode, so I knew Randy was no scammer.

Here is where I threw a tiff:
I thought I was getting this; http://randode.com/store/product56.html

Instead I got this:

I was under the impression that I was getting a finished metal piece. What I got was made from plastic. My initial thought was it's black instead of polished...not the end of the world since it wasn't until a few days later my friends starts looking at it and notices the difference. I feel like I got swindled.

the invoice that came along with the product was dated shipped 9/7/10 USPS package says 9/28/10.

I sent an email and have yet to receive a reply from any representative from Randode.

That was my experience dealing with Randode.

That's odd, my original piece from him was exactly like the one pictured.

If your not happy with what you got call your credit/ debit card company. Just let them know that you what you ordered was not what you got. Most of the time you will get your money back.

I've dealt with Randy numerous times, and I've never had a problem with shipping or products.

I'm hoping this was just a one time thing.

No disclaimer on the site from your post about product in picture may differ from actual product sent. So thats interesting. I would have waited for a reply and see what Randode would do to rectify the issue before posting though. Just Food for thought. QC issues happen. we are human afterall.

I purchased a Randode MAF adapter at the end of June and emailed back and forth with Randy. He notified me that the material had been changed to ABS plastic from the aluminum used originally, and there was no change in price. It did take a couple weeks to sort out the order confirmation out and shipping was slow too. He was having phone problems during the time, so his e-mail notification was shotty.

A couple tips using it:
-Use some sort of sealant underneath the adapter plate to prevent sucking in air from odd places
-Thread sealant on the adapter plate screws since air tends to leak there too
-Do NOT over tighten! A corner of my plate is cracked because of this.

I have since fabricated a blow through set up and welded a new flange to the piping to accommodate the MAF so I'm no longer using the Randode MAF Adapter. I know that Dezod recently released aluminum MAF adapters on their site for both 05-06 and 07-10.

Good Luck!

An email was sent to him regarding this a few weeks ago and no response... and the transaction was through PayPal some time ago.

It would be nice to get a partial refund seeing as how if I had known it was plastic I would not have bought it for 45dollars and waited for someone to sell one used. but it's not necessary.

I'm just posting my experience someone else knows what their getting.

I'm still waiting on eyelids I ordered 14 days ago. No replies to 2 emails I've sent regarding my order. I want my order or my money back.

randode, sent you an email.

it's been my experience that a partial refund is sometimes mutually beneficial is these kind of situations. If either person does not want the merchandise returned. I would prefer a partial refund obviously since I really don't want to ship anything out.
