I have to agree with weezy on the communication thing. People are very wary with their money, especially when dealing online. If you weren't ready to ship, perhaps you shouldn't have taken his money yet? Not being rude - just making a point If you had sold on eBay, you'd be up you-know-what creek with a dispute on your hands (they let you file a claim after four days).

Just take it as a lesson learned I suppose. Communication is key, especially in situations like this when there are delays.

Everything seems to be working out now though, so good luck to the both of you.
