Default viniati vspoiler :(

well i just got my vspoiler in yesterday may 8th after i had placed the order march 23rd throught strippermotor sports witch i must say has bad customer service. Anyway I was all excited about my new spoiler till i tried fitting it on the trunk. Thats when i got ticked off. then after looking it over it felt like a lake of a windy day with all the ripples in it. First of all on the driver side the wing would hit the side of the quarter panel cant move it if i slide it over then the pass would hit and then it wouldn't line up with the trunk very well. the underneath was also not contoured with the trunk at all.

Flipping it over noticed that the pass side of the wing that extend over the quarter was at least 1/4 inches thicker than the otherside. by this time i wanted to break this thing in half!

I thought to myself well i waited well over a month for this i'm not sending it back and waiting another month or so to get a new one and hope the out come is not the same. by then all the car shows would be over!
So i got my body tools out and went to work. grinded off some of the wing so that it wasn't to thick so at least it match the otherside. did a lot of sanding on the bottom. Used lots of bondo underneth so at least it was contoured with the trunk and that raised it enough so that now i have about 1/4 of a inch of clearince on both sides of the quarter panls and also leveled it some.

I'v got three hourse invested in this wing all ready and i havent even touched the top yet! I'v got a lot of work to make this thing show ready. For the price i payed and the time Iv waited and the time into it and money invested in this is just not worth it. I should of spent a little more and gone with OEM. Now i just turn my head about thinking about getting one of there lip kits that i want. who knows how much work i would have to put into that.. If i took this to a body shop and they did the work it would be way more than what the wing is worth.
I lke the wing i like the style but the quality is poor. If anythig it this wing cause of its popularity should be made of ABS or something else. 15 lbs is a lot of weight. I though Viniati had a good rap, I jus i was wrong. the only reason i went with this spoiler is cause i herd they had good crafmansship.

I"m not a happy person right now This sucks!

Must have gotten a bad one did you contact any one about this. Usually viniati warranty’s their stuff out pretty well. My spoiler was sort of like yours too and I got a new one rather quick from them. Call someone up man.
