Weezyfbayba - started out ok, sale not complete yet
Started out positively with lots of contact back and forth. He was even willing to wait a little bit while I got Paypal sorted out which was very cool of him to do. We chatted a few times via text and he seemed like he was a nice enough guy.
I officially paid him money between 12.20.2009 - 12.22.2009 (depending on when PayPal actually got the money to him) for a turbo kit including an oil pan. (Original posting here with oil pan highlighted. https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...hlight=oil+pan)
So far he has sent out the turbo kit with everything that he said would be there with the exception of the tapped oil pan. Kit was delivered on 01.07.2010 and I let him know the day after (01.08.2010) that I was missing the oil pan via text message. He looked around in his parts bin and admitted that he had forgotten to send it and asked for my address again. I wasn't mad or annoyed or anything because mistakes happen and I understand. I wasn't in a rush or anything or so I just asked him to send it along and he said he would on his next day off (a week away). No big deal, I could wait and asked him to send me the tracking number when he sent it. So far, still no tracking number or pan being shipped.
It has now been three weeks since I've gotten the kit and I've contacted him at least once or twice per week since then via text message and PM here on SL to try and make sure he sends me the pan. He gave me an answer last week via SL PM saying that his radiator had popped a hole and he didn't have a car to get to the shipping place. Again, I wasn't mad or upset or anything, I legitimately felt bad this guy had to deal with a leaking radiator.
I texted and PM'd him yesterday and today to see what the status of the pan was and I haven't heard back from him at all. Just wanted to post here so that hopefully he sees this message and knows that I'm still waiting to get the oil pan that he had included in his original sale listing and that he promised to send to me (and that I paid for). I'm getting close to wanting to put the kit on the car and not having the part that I paid for is holding me back.
Thanks,
1nut

Oh I don't doubt that he's a nice guy and that he's good for his word, but it's been a long time and I just want the pan.
True the kit wasn't expensive and I don't disagree, but if something is offered for sale and is agreed to as part of the sale, it doesn't matter if it's $.01 or $1,000 it's part of the sale.
Hopefully it's just something simple and he'll get the pan sent out soon so we can finish this deal out. I've got no hard feelings toward the guy yet, I just want the pan that I paid for.

I appreciate the offer sir, but from what I understand you're in a spot of bad luck as well right now. (Very sorry to hear about your bike man, I can't stand thieves and cheats). While I think your gesture is insanely noble and it makes me proud to see this kind of selfless act, I certainly wouldn't feel right letting you send parts when I know you too are suffering and you were under no financial obligation to oblige me.
I understand that bad things happen, I really do. I'm not even mad or anything at Weezy, but I just want this to be resolved so that we can all move forward. I understand that people get into bad situations and understand what it does to life, but I am also a firm believer that if you commit to do something then you need to follow through no matter what. Tough times do not, unfortunately, obviate you of the need to settle what you agreed to.
The pan was paid for and was part of the original deal so it's not outisde the realm of reason that it should be sent out. Shipping the pan shouldn't be considered a wild or even remotely difficult task even in some of the hardest times. I feel for the guy (like I said above) for his popped radiator and was totally patient to let him get his car put back together and am still pretty calm about the whole situation. This post is just to share experiences and I don't think I've mis-represented or defamed the guy at all. Just presented my side of the story as factually as I could.
I'm sympathetic to anyone for being in hard times as I've been there myself and I certainly don't want to make life any harder if it can be avoided. The sale is almost complete and it's probably more hassle than anything to drag it out like this. A quick trip to the UPS store, write the address on the box, issue the tracking number, and everything is resolved in my book. Plus you get the added bonus of me not nagging about shipping anymore.

Hey man, don't get me wrong here, I have no ill feelings toward you at all. I don't think bad of you in the slightest and I understand that you're busy. I just wanted to make sure the oil pan comes through.
I never said I didn't think you weren't going to send it, just wanted to make sure I had my bases covered so that we could wrap up the sale as agreed to. Everything else went perfectly (like I said a couple times before), so I just wanted to make sure we closed out ok.
Let me know if you need my address again or a tracking number when you send it out.
Thanks,
1nut

so u posting here is going to make me send it? u posting this isint going to make me send it or not send it period... i told u if ur in that huge of a rush before i can get it out tap ur own pan and ill get this one welded and send it to u if u needed it for a stock one.. ive been working mon-sat for about a month now
No need to get cranky or upset, I haven't said anything bad about you. I've said that for everything else you were great and I still think that way. I just want you to send the tapped pan so we can be done with this and we can close this.
I know this post won't make you send the pan if you decide not too, but just be aware that I'll update the status so that people know you didn't live up to your end of the bargain. If you send the pan and this is complete in my mind and I'll close the thread with the appropriate update saying you did everything you agreed to.
You keep saying "if I'm in that much of a rush"...dude, it's been about a month. If I wasn't in a rush when you sent the first stuff I'm starting to get there now. Having me tap my own pan, then you weld the pan you have and then send it to me is more work for both of us. It's an extra step for you to complete before you send the pan so I'm not sure why you would want to do that. Shipping something is easy. Having to go get something welded, then shipping it is needlessly harder and adds time to an already overdue step.
You agreed to send the tapped pan with the kit, this isn't something that I asked for special or last minute or outside of the original deal. This was part of the deal. You haven't completed your end of it, so I posted here. That's the point of this section of the forums so I'm using it.
