I'll be damned if I can see visually any difference between the two downpipes. So why the diff in price? does one have better construction? ie materials, fitment, welds, etc.

Invidia has a larger diameter than Megan Racing. The difference in price is because the manu can charge whatever they want!!!

Thanks

Right, I totally understand that a manu. can charge whatever they think they can get for a part. lol. So with your info that means the Indivia will have a higher flow rate than the Megan. My Megan Racing header has always performed well. I like the idea of the Indivia having a larger diameter, just concerned with buying a part from a company I've heard no quality/durability info about.

Invidia down pipes sell EXTREMELY well. They are extremely popular within the Subaru markets - I receive nothing but great feedback on them. The down pipes for the TC also sell extremely well.

Thanks

Actually they are both technically not street legal. Now by itself, it is not illegal. It does improve airflow of the exhaust. Thats not illegal. What IS illegal about them is that they provide an option to bypass the second o2 sensor. Altering or removing emissions devices on a licensed road car makes it illegal for street use.
If you use the second o2 sensor in the provided bung.... then you stay street legal. Provided you havent removed anything else... ie installing a racing header. So just do what I do.... install the racing parts for performance and hold on to the critical stock OEM parts if you need to do a swap to pass emissions testing.

wait a tick.... I know I dont stick my head underneath my car every single day...but I thought the secondary highflow cat was at the beginning of the midpipe NOT on the downpipe. Am I thinking wrong?

thanks.

which pipe should I get in conjunction to my tsudo mid and megan OE-RS?
I really like the deep sound so would the invidia be better?

another ?: I dont know much about s-pipes, but do they affect the sound conciderably when you have a fairly quiet exhaust? The oe-rs sounds VERY deep but not really loud.

spipe does not effect the sound. if it does, it hardly does. but if you see teh oem spipe, its a bunch of different sizes so this def. does help

oh ok, I wasnt sure because before the setup I have now I had the full tsudo catback but it was waay too loud for me so I swithed the axelback for the megan oe.. now its a little too quiet so I was hoping this would make it a little louder... confusing I know.

the method of my madness is to get a nice sound level without drawing the popos attention
