I was told clutch kits would fit no matter what year. Or is it just the SPEC brand that is year specific?

Why would just SPEC clutches be year specific when others are not?

Kind of confused on that question. SPEC is the only company currently making a clutch for the 07+. All others are specific to 05-06 models.

I dont think so on that. I know people are running clutches for 07 up turbo kits. Why would they be any different?

Any idea what brand? I know I have spoken with ACT and they said that there 05-06 clutch kit did not work with the 07+. If there are other brands, please let me know. I just could not find any.

Edit: It looks like Clutch Master lists theirs as 05-07. However, I am pretty sure the 06 and 07 model are a slightly different setup.

Again I just dont understand. What is different about the set-ups. I'm in the market for a new clutch (0 and don't want to buy the wrong thing. You are the first person to tell me the clutch kits are year specific.

i've had countless conversations with spec (unfortunantely due to a misunderstanding). many sites advertise the stage 1 clutch as to holding 360 ft/lbs. spec told me that it only holds 305. but dezod, scion and spec all told me that all clutches and flywheels will fit all years of the tc.

I saw somewhere i think it was 330ftlb tq. if its 305 i may have to step up to the stage 2. But i would like a lutch around 330-350 ftlb tq capacity.

Eh, I don't know. There have been instances of an 05-06 clutch not fitting an 07. Also, the part numbers on SPEC parts are different. If you call up ACT they will tell you their clutch kits do NOT fit the 07+.

I do not know what the actual differences are, I tried to ask SPEC but they weren't able to tell me either.
