i think you need a new hobby bud. Just make sure the positive wire from the kit is hooked up to the positive wire from the car's harness and vice versa for the negative. Easy stuff, should take no more than 2 minutes.

Does anyone have a picture of a harness for a tC, specifically the connector to the factory harness?

Oh, so the tC has a separate connection for high beams...

Do people with xB's loose the high beam? I'm trying to figure out how to still have high beams with my aftermarket lamps. I had separate 9006 low and 9005 highs, but now only one high beam works...

I got my low beam kit and I still have my standard 9005 highbeams working properly. Seems like you either didn't connect something or something is crossed. Just hooking it up plug for plug keeps full functionality unless you missed something.

A little history, I have an xB. Which is 3 prong. I bought Ichiko style headlamps which have a 9006 low and 9005 high. The kist came with an adapter that splits the 3 prong into 2 separate connections.

My HID kit had the similar 3 prong connection and I figured I could use the spare wires on the prong for the highs but that didn't work, why... don't know. They came already split.

Here are two odd things that I can't figure out.
1. I can not have the high beam bulb unattached or the system will not come on.
2. I tested the wires with a volt meter. The drivers side where the wiring harness conenct reads -11.52. The right side reads +11.51.

Trip that one out. That is reading from the high beam socket. Weird huh... I thought the harness sent might be switched up, but the wiring is identical to the harness that came with the Ichiko headlamps.

I don't know, I was going to figure it out this weekend, unless someone has any ideas???

Wow, weird.............sorry bro. No clue on that one..............got any pics of the stock harness and how the other plugs look? Maybe start another thread about this and see if others can focus in on this? Engifineer would be a great help. He's really good at the electrical area of autos.

Yeah, pics would help a lot in solving your problem. Some of us are not really good using our imagination.

So you guys got me thinking. Maybe the wires in the harness are somehow crossed, but how can they be, they are identical to the other harness.

Anyways, I found a blown fuse. Now I wonder what blew it????

Check your ground and any spliced ends. Make sure there's no arch in the crimps.

I soldered where necessary, then took everything apart trying to figure out what was going on. The crimped everything back together.

It is grounded to the chassis using the bolt on the radiator support.

I swapped fuses and tested it, nothing blew, so I guess I did something during install. Anyways, thanks all for getting my mind into gear.

Again, thanks all.

Yep, just like they should. I love these HID's.

It's almost like going from Dialup internet to hi-speed internet. You just don't want to go back.

I also worked with a guy named Hanh Court regarding the purchase of this kit. Great communication. Even with this problem I created for myself, I got response after response.

Will the deal still stand around tax time?

If it will, then I will definitely want a 4300K set!

Let me know,

Thanks,
