The only problem with high beam HIDs is the start up time means you can't really flash anyone. Need to tell someone to pull out or go or whatever? The long light up time from cold to on for HIDs can make that a bit slow. Once you have lit them up, bringing them back up right away is quicker - but not like a halogen bulb would be.

Of course, if you had an xB with a single HID kit you would have no high beams at all :D

Got mine today... took about 30 minutes to install.

The wiring harness is top notch!

If you've got a CAI, there's a bolt hole right below the pipe that works great for the driver's side ballast. (where the stock airbox used to be)

On the passenger side, theres a bracket that holds a brake component that has a spare bolt hole in it. Perfect place as well.

Only problem with the kit is that the zip ties that were provided were crap and snapped when any real pressure was put on them.

Yea man there is a slight purple tint but its amazing. Thats the kit I have and I originally wanted blue tint but when I installed the 10000K and drove I was amazed I love this kit. If you want a purple tint you definately want 10000k man.

I just installed them, they look so nice! Love them! I wrapped the stock harness connector with electrical tape to make sure it doesn't come off, the big yellow thingies, and the orange one too just to make sure water doesn't hurt them. The kit got here(Puerto Rico) in 4 days, very fast shipping!

Operatic, you rule man

This is the passenger's side. The ballast is under the headlight secured with one of the included screws. There are 3 black "stickers", like circles. Under those, there are 3 screw holes, I used one of them. Look, you'll see them :D

I have a CAI, I found this is the best place to install the other ballast:

This is how they look. Picture was taken during the day and they are still very bright! At night they look amazing

They are 6000K, Jehoo, I can't wait for the Transformers movie!

I installed mine with a screw through the black metal with a hole in it in the bottom center of the picture

I put mine in the exact same place. Almost like it was meant to go there.
