One bulb looks slightly dimmer than the other, I really don't know what is causing this or if it's normal. Comments anyone?

 

Is the bulb pushed in the housing all the way? I know it sounds silly, but it has happened before.

 

I just installed my HIDs. One of the bulbs seemed to be brighter because it wasn't seated properly...fix that and both bulbs look about the same now.

They're awesome...soo bright and white! Couldn't be happier.

I do have a couple questions though. When the bulbs are warming up, is a little flickering normal? I never saw flickering on my parent's car that came with HIDs.
Also, I don't know if its new...but if I pop the hood I hear little pops every so often. Kinda sounds like an electrical issue...but I don't see sparks or anything.
Lastly, to get the passenger side bulb to work, I had to insert the harness into the ballast reverse. The clip isn't holding on anything as the other way it simply would not turn on.

Yes, a little flickering is normal. That little buzz/pop are the ballast holding the needed wattage to maintain the HIDs being lit. As for having to have the harness in backwards, I know with some cars (Dodges especially) that you need to do that. The plug won't pop out, we have had a few Dodge customers that are plugged in like that and they haven't popped yet.

The new xB uses an H11 for the low beam bulb.

 

hey everyone.. after my cousin told me about his friends getting his HID system stolen, i reconsidered where i mounted it, and i found some good mounting points, hidden and very hard to access without taking out the bumper.

i used double sided tape and the zipties that came with the kit.

i also drove my friends car with silverstar ultras vs. my 6k hids.. OMG THEY ARE WORTH IT!!

Cool, thanks for the reply! Great product btw. My only suggestion would be to include some double sided foam tape so you truly would never need anything more than a socket wrench set to install the HIDs

 

^ oh yeah.. use the 3m stuff. the duct tape stuff sucks! :D hahaha
