It is possible, I believe a few people have done that effect with these shift ***** 
It is most popular with the actual "bubble" design *****, because the light shows off a bit cooler.

All of the ***** would fit your Automatic, since I believe that the tC has a "gate type" shifter, where you don't need to push a button to shift gears like in other automatic transmissions. If this is the case with your tC, then any of the ***** listed will fit.
