Yes they are legal. They just have to be securely latched.. and our hoods latch just like the stock hood so you're set.

 

you also need to transfer the OEM emissions sticker over from your stock hood to be completely legal

does anyone know how often do you have to prep your hood so it dosnt fade or crack? where im from it can get pretty hot and i park outside a lot.

 

I would do it a couple times a year.. sunlight is not CF's friend

 

rather it's not the cf that turns yellow. it's the resin that does.

i would go ahead and clearcoat the hood for a longer lasting protection.
