Default Greetings from Arizona!

Hey Scion people,

I am the proud owner of a 130k, 2004 xA. I'm proud now anyway. Just over a year ago I found myself without a car and needed something. A friend of mine said "Hey, I have a xA for sale if you want it" I had no clue what it was, but had no choice.

Now let me explain something, I have owned an Evo8, a Lancer Ralliart, a Vauxhall Cavalier SRI, a Vauxhall 3.0 Carlton and a few other cars that are fast 4 doors. The only time I have ever owned a small car, was the Fiat 127 when I was 17.

So I got this car. I was a little disappointed, but beggars can't be choosers and I got on with it. The only thing I really liked about it, it's a stick shift (not a lover of autos). Well, over the months I got to like this little beast, but was still looking for a car to replace it. I looked at so many cars, but there was always something I didn't like. So while I was looking I put in a new touch screen head unit, fitted keyless entry, replaced the speakers, replaced the front hubs and replaced some little things that had worn out. Well as time went on, I sort of got to like driving it. Found that if you keep the revs up around 4500, it's got some get up and go. Well after the latest round of 'You want how much for this car?' I have decided to that maybe someone is trying to tell me something. So, I got onto the interwebs and found out what I could do to the 'beast'

I have ordered new wheels, new tires, a set of lowering springs, replacement rear struts (the fronts one were only replaced a few months before I got the car), new front and rear bumpers (stock ones), wheel spacers, fender flares, new spots, new engine mounts, new belts, new CV axles, upgraded front rotors and pads, replacement drums and shoes, bass speaker and amp and some other things. I really wanted a body kit, the prices are OK, but when they are asking $400 delivery fee, I decided I can do all that later. I also want to replace the front and rear light clusters, but can't find anything I really like, so they can wait as well.

I'm looking forward to doing all this and making the car a little better looking, handle a bit better and one day maybe get it moving a little quicker.

Yes, that is a 1985 Toyota MR2 in the back ground, my on going project.
