Greetings from The Bean!!!!
That's right brother. I seriously feel like we're the only ones. I seriously so bored with this site and trying to keep it going that I'm literally subscribed and active on every single thread that comes through, new or old... I want my check now please...
No you certainly didn't. Between Al and I, we can serve you with whatever questions and knowledge you may need. Everyone else is hit or miss if they sign on or are even active enough to see every thread and post their two cents. So, no, you're good. Ask or post away!
Tip - Do not, whatever you do - buy the supercharger for the tC. Seriously. If this is the only thing you ever read on Scionlife, it is the most important.
And if you have any questions, feel free to ask away. Tom and I have been longtime gen 1 tC owners, and can help you with whatever you need.
S/C's for our car, a) blow motors, b) need extensive servicing to make them last, c) are not worth the 40hp or so they add to the car.
That being said, if you are going down the performance route at some time - skip all the header, intake, exhaust nonsense and go straight to a decent turbo kit (they are many vendors on here). Worry about the turbo, and engine management, and you can buy whatever you want after that performance wise. These cars respond VERY well to turbo applications, and with a proper tune can make a fantastic daily driver. I know you did not ask about modifications, but I just wanted to drill the fact that the supercharger is the worst modification you can do to your car, period. On other cars, they work great. There is a reason they were only sold for 2 years, and quickly recalled after all the warranty issues started appearing.
